George Hill coming to Utah

I so hope you're right. I'd love that.

This year, while having a small role, he was 17th in rpm among point guards. Last year, when he had his increased role, he was 7th. Dude put up 16/5/4 in 29 minutes a game just one year ago, and then they dashed his usage down. He can perform, just needs the chance. And he has great playoff numbers...he's just a steady, consistent gamer who has won pretty much everywhere he's been. We've needed a guy like him.

The Exum hype is a little over the top. In my mind, he is a rookie again. The first few months will be just shaking off rust. Then you have the mental obstacle of getting over the ACL which can be much longer.

What do you think that Exum is a dumbass...he hurt is acl,not his brain or heart. He's already been a starter and his team won....you think he forgot what he did to contribute.Exum wasn't sitting on the couch watching tv this past year,he was sitting in the front row seats scouting out opposing PG's.like a coach does.

As far as the mental weakness part,I'm sure he knows Jabari Parker was playing back in the NBA under a years time and scored his career high 36 pts in 14 1/2 months after surgery. He's 20 years old and already doing 5 on 5 scrimmages with 4 more FULL months to get over his mental weakness.

I hope Exum has a breakout year, but I don't think its going to happen. I really like the kid and I want him to be great. He just seemed so timid his rookie year. He was reluctant to do anything other than passing the ball off along the perimeter and taking open catch and shoot threes. He rarely tried taking anyone off the dribble, even when they closed out hard on him at the three point line. He just wasn't much of a playmaker. With that being said, he wasn't turnover prone and played under control and with patience. He had a couple give and go plays and a few lobs that impressed. For those who think he is going to be great/elite - what parts of his game improve? Is he a three and D point guard? Is he Shaun Livingston without the minutes restriction?

On the other side of the ball, I think most were impressed with his defensive ability. His defensive presence was contrasted against Burke's and the difference was night and day. Players had a hard time getting past him and he was great at challenging shots off the dribble. He is already an above average defensive point guard. Does he become an even better defender?

I don't see it as just timidness. I see afraid to make mistakes as well. Dante seems like the perfection type of player, doesn't want to look bad. Not sure what's what. But if that one game against Smart is any indication, I hope the coaching staff allows him to let that monster loose.

Looks like Lin set the floor at $12M/year for Hill if we are going to resign him. I fully expect Hill to blossom here in Utah and I think his numbers are going to exceed what he had in Indiana.

I think hill could barely get off the bench for the jazz.

Edit: was thinking solomon hill.

Did we ever find out what all the particulars of the Hill trade are supposed to be? I saw the Hawks were busy scooping Dwight Howard's numb nuttery, and it renewed my interest in what the final pieces were going to be.

It is to be announced July 7th. Further pieces to the trade are speculation.

Remember that Derrick Rose guy? He never got over the mental weakness part. Exum could be ready by the start of the season, he could be ready by the all star break, he could take a whole 'nother year to be ready, or he could never be ready.
