George Hill's body Language During the Joe Jesus Saves stretch of Game 4

Must be good times in Jazzland when the downers have to reach THIS far to come up with something negative,

I tried to preface my post in a way that negated this response, but I suppose it wasn't realistic on my part to expect I could with 100% efficacy. I'm not trying to reach for something at all. It was just something I noticed but I might just be really bad at reading the body language.

JFC is going Russell Westbrook on you.

I guess we forget the 13 points in 4 minutes by Paul in game 3 to steal a victory? Yes, I get that Paul is one of the greatest, but you still have to take it to him and make him work. The pnr defense wasn't the best with Favors being gassed but Hill is definitely not an infallible defender.
I like Hill as much as the next guy, but he isn't without his flaws. I hope he does get a max salary if that is what he desires, just not here.

I think Ingles was guarding him some at that time too. I can't wait until we get to the Warriors series and Hill is bull dawging steph.

Didn't see it.

But how much has he contributed to these playoff wins? Do we really need him next year at the kind of money he's after?

How much has he contributed to the wins? A lot. Have you see how our other PG's run the offense?

Whether he's worth the money he's seeking is another question. But he has been a very crucial player this series.

Everything has value, but that value has to equate cost for it to be worth it. If the cost is too high and overpriced, then it's not worth getting it.

That's all I was saying.

Nobody here is saying Hill is worthless.

No, you didn't say he was worthless.

You did essentially say that he's not much of a factor in us winning games this series. That is a really stupid take.

George Hill is shooting 47% from 3 this series and we acting like he sucks?

He definitely doesn't suck. But he is not a bona fide pg.
I think Jazz play best when they have a facilitator on the court who is dedicated to bringing others into the game and penetrating. How much better did they look when Favors and Gobert were heavily involved on the roll.

I'd prefer to have Hill as the 2 guard. He just looks for his own shot too much - even when he doesn't take them he seemingly is still looking for his.

Wut?

I did not say that. I asked the question, it wasn't a statement of fact.

You're the stupid one who can't read properly.

Yes, it was formed as a question, but the insinuation was obvious.

Are mods allowed to attack posters out of the blue btw? Very rude.

It was a question, not a statement. There's nothing obvious about it.

Please read things more carefully next time before you make a false accusation of others.

I actually was curious about his body language while watching the game too. But, didn't post anything about it, because of a lot of the reasons already listed. There is really no way to know, could be a wide variety of reasons, and we'll find out one way or another this summer anyways. I hope he just keeps playing well.

Like somebody already mentioned John Stockton was notoriously stoic. And Rick Barry was notoriously an a-hole who wasn't liked by his teammates even. He still won an NBA championship, and was the Finals MVP. We can't all be a smiley Magic Johnson.

GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!

Did you ever watch Stockton play? The only time I remember that he ever showed emotion was when he hit that game winner that sent us to the finals for the first time.

I'm not disagreeing with you, per se, but Stockton showed emotion on court a lot more often than people seem to remember. E. g.: https://youtu.be/kd6DkYLhgg8?t=335

Regarding Hill's body language, he usually seems introverted. I don't think he necessarily was pouting because he wanted to be the hero - which would be the obvious conclusion if he was really pouting. Nevertheless, it may be worth keeping an eye on him for the rest of the playoffs. He is up for a big new contract, after all.

I watched the end of the game on my dvr and another thing I noticed was Quin Snyder's body language looked like he wanted to murder a prostitute. Maybe I'm just over analyzing this...but it seemed strange. Shouldn't he have been happy instead of wanting to kill someone?
What I saw was him smiling and hugging that black assistant coach guy who didn't smile when we won the first game
