What's new

Get an all Utah Utes radio show here in Utah. You can help!

Boy, you have a great point.

Nice. Big words from a guy whose team plays a lightweight schedule. Lets see how BYU does this with a 1/2 big boy schedule. Though seeing how you struggle with crappy BCS teams and traditionally sucky WAC teams...

Ha ha. But you'll always have 1984. You and SMU can all relive the glory days together.

24-21, 54-10, 17 straight in the 4th Q, 4 out of the last 5, 8 out of the last 11, better head coach, better OC, better recruits, better conference, better bowls the last 10 years, more NFL players, and most importantly, better teams than you (and no, beating mid-majors to a crappy bowl does not make you a better team. You couldn't beat Utah last year when all Utah had was a DII QB and their best (only) offensive player didn't play). Yeah, you're awesome.

Lol.

Dude, you're clearly drunk tonight, and I have to go out to the garage and set up the boats for tomorrow morning. 6:30 comes early for a fat guy. Perhaps we can chat tomorrow after your hangover clears up and you've forgotten the trap door that slammed on your ****** this evening.

I didn't mean tonight you presumptuous and pompous ****.

Big words? Sure, if you want to call them that. I like to think of them as irrefutable facts. No need to relive glory days, but damn, at least we have some.

My bad, doe.

Glory days....ah, the last time BYU had a nationally relevant season was 1996. A truly special season? 1984.

I will admit, you guys get more mileage out of those seasons than any other fanbase.

Maybe you'll get lucky and another player Bronco tried to talk out of playing football will become all world.

Probably not. But, damn, 1984 was sure great.

LOL.

I have a better idea.

All ute fans get on the phone and call up Dr. Hill to tell him that you want the rivalry to continue.

Stop being a bunch of *******. Rivals don't run away from each other. If freaking USC And Notre Dame can make it work you pansie asses sure can as well

What good does playing BYU do for Utah?

Then why should Utah continue the series?

You don't need PKM's advice...just a big campaign contribution. But I'd be very afraid of what he's going to ask you to do once you're elected.

Hell, Utah is afraid to go to Weber State to play basketball...

being afraid is one thing. Everybody should be afraid of reality. well, maybe not "afraid" like Mitt was afraid of the media, more like the way a cornered cat can be afraid and fight a hell of a fight.

I'm a Utah man, sir.

Wow, you guys have it rough in the Pac 10 huh?. Your combined opponents' records were 71-67 last year. 52-60 without including BYU and Utah State. And you guys went 5-7. I'm in awe of what's going up on the hill. Just unreal.

So, BYU is awesome because they lose to Utah and have an easier schedule?

Nice.

BYU is not Notre Dame and Utah is not USC that is why they can't play, that game was "grandfathered" in and as has been said almost all U fans would like to continue the rivalry. However playing such an emotional rivalry and having to beat a team 3x in one game can be draining so the administrative people worry about the hang over because the following week is the first conference PAC12 game.

However I suppose the U could ask the same as what the Y did of Utah state in the past and play two at home for every road game and then some years not play at all, I'm sure the Y wouldn't mind or complain about being treated the same as they treated Utah State..... oh wait.

These things.

byu's biggest goal every year is to beat Utah.

Utah's biggest goal every year is to win the Pac 12 and go to the Rose Bowl, and hopefully the National Championship Game. Every Pac 12 game is more important than the byu game for Utah.

We are in two very different places as programs.

I'd have to say it certainly appears that way... and I have no dog in this fight.

Question: If Utah and BYU combined all their players into one team, would it be a good one?

Not sure. What I DO know is that if you combined the 2nd-stringers of both teams they'd still be better than UK
