Get Bogut?

I wouldn't say we don't have room for him. Hell, we need toughness. But I agree a 3/4 is our biggest need. He's a headcase but he's older and therefore maybe a little wiser, and with Hill and Joe Johnson here, I wonder how cheaply Josh Smith could come.

Thoughts?
I prefer the Terrence Jones idea (not sure about his D). No interest in Josh Smith.

Just remember, the Jazz are the team that facilitated them getting Andre Igoudala and effectively started the GSW dynasty. Can't get mad at Dallas for trying to better their team just like we did.

Oh horse-****. ****ing horse-****.

1. Iguodala isn't Durant. He's not in the same tier. He's not even in the next tier either.
2. The Warriors hadn't come off of a championship, then the winningest regular season in NBA history but one game from a repeat.

I know your thing is to be the contrarian. This is not the same thing.

I think I would too. I just wonder if Josh could maybe be just half the price and have more upside. Like maybe Quin, Joe and George help get his head on straight and the kid plays his best overall game yet, smart shot selection, elite defense. Like that.

It's not the same thing but it's a similar thing. Why should Dallas not make their team better? Just so the rest of the league has a better chance at winning? It's just naive to think 29 NBA teams would agree to not try and get an asset. Hell Philadelphia would probably take Bogut and a future first round pick. They have the cap-room and it's not like Philly is going to compete with GSW in the next 4 years.

*I do think it's weird Dallas is the one doing it, I would figure it would be a bottom feeding team looking to pick up a future pick*. Dallas might be looking to be a bottom feeder team though if they make some trades.

Is Mark Cuban aware that he just put about ten nails in the coffin of Dirk winning another ring with Dallas? Might as well throw in Dirk in a S&T.

...

He's going to do that, isn't he.

I don't like the Bogut and Jazz idea.
If TJones is healthy he could be almost ideal.

Skilled enough to play the 3 in big ball, strong enough to play C in small ball, a natural at the 4.
Good defender, excellent rebounder, and a career 54% shooter.

Sign him for $5M.

Go and get Jan Vesely. I think he deserves a second chance in Nba.

In the meantime Pau Gasol signing with the Spurs.

Owners are greedy liars. They cry about poverty, force a new agreement through, then spend like drunken sailors once the cap goes up. I've never believed owners were losing money. If any did, it's just a short-term offset against the astronomical appreciation of the franchise's value.

Jazz are probably locked out of ever competing for a chip. The Miller group just doesn't have the deep pockets of others, nor is a FA like Lebron or Durant going to declare, "I'm taking my talents to the Wasatch Front."

The Jazz need to pray for the max contract to be eliminated and a hard-cap to be implemented. That would fit our team perfectly. A bunch of really good players but no players teams will blown 50% or above of their cap-space on.
