This is one that caught my attention. A glowing orb over the grave that the camera caught.

No. The camera was set to a very slow shutter speed and set on a tri-pod to minimize blur from movement. That's the other aspect that is interesting. If it were something like a firefly or light reflection off of a speck of dust it would be a continuous blur across the frame.

Of the several dozen pics I took that night this is the only one that exhibits this type of anomaly. I'm not saying that it is supernatural or the spirit of a dead miner or anything like that. It was just unexpected when I went through the photos and I didn't have an explanation.

Is Heritage Park the same as This Is The Place?

What are some other good places around SLC that my ghost hunter buddies could go check out?

Yes. Spending the night there is pretty freaky. There's the SLC Cemetery, the abandoned mental hospital off of Wasatch, The Old Mill (if you can find a way to get in the fences), Memory Grove, Ted Bundy's shack and cellar, my favorite is the house in Layton, but it's out of the way, some good places up the Cottonwoods, the gully behind the Capitol, the gully on 13th east and about 104th south, a couple of rumored ones in the avenues, and there's a lot where a home that was occupied by a cult leader burned down and all of the rubble is still there just off of Wasatch and in the 60th-70th south range. I'll find out where it is for sure. You go up a small road in a pretty wealthy living community, and on the way up there's a brick wall that has about a fifteen foot opening into it that is total darkness. Go up there and that's where the remains are. There's remains from a cellar hidden behind some trees, a bunch of rubble, burn marks, and a random, creepy shack. I'll post more when I think of them.

Marcus-That looks awesome. I'll have to go check it out. I'll take some pictures.

I grew up in a house that was built on an old pioneer apple orchard. I saw, very clearly and very plainly, a ghost/spirit/whatever you want to call it, on two occasions. I can think of over 20 different experiences I had in the house that would make anyone a believer. The most interesting thing to happen wasn't even in the house, nor did it have anything to do with ghosts. My friends dad was getting remarried and after talking to this lady for the first time, we put two and two together and found out that she used to live in the house before we bought it. The first thing she asked me was, "Ever have anything 'strange' happen?" She went on to tell me a few stories that were creepy and similar to what I had experienced.

Besides seeing the two ghosts, the scariest thing to happen was one day I got out of my shower and there were cryptic symbols all over my mirror in the steam. They were fresh, not old stuff. The bathroom door was still shut and locked from the inside. The second scariest thing to happen was one night I woke up to this odd clicking noise coming from the desk in my room. I turned on my bedside lamp and saw very plainly the keys on my computer keyboard just clicking away. They stopped about 20 seconds after I turned the light on.

No joke - I've chased two ghosts from houses in my lifetime. Although I'm pretty sure they were both friendly ghosts.

So if there's something strange in your neighborhood - who ya gonna call.......?

Not candrew - I got my own problems.

I heard clicking noises in my house last week and went and opened my door to see a bat on the ground getting dominated by our cat.

Can you describe the spirit you saw?

I went to Sandridge Jr. High in Roy, Utah. And one time we took cameras into the gym when it was pitch black, and saw a lot of those orb things.

I think there is a definitely a spiritual realm to this world, but I don't know about visual ghosts. I wouldn't be afraid of going in anywhere as long as you could guarantee me there wouldn't be other people there because that's usually the scary I run into whenever I go do a little "ghost hunting". I don't want to be murdered because some little satan worshipper jag offs think it's cool to hang out and roast marshmellows in the basement of some insane asylum and freak out because they think I'm the cops or something. I guess that's half the fun of ghost hunting though.
