GLeague Chitt

A blurb just hit Hoops Rumors that the Heat waived Orlando Robinson from a two way deal. Here is a little wording: "Robinson, an undrafted rookie out of Fresno State, averaged 7.0 PPG, 4.5 RPG and 1.0 SPG in two games (20.0 MPG) with the Heat. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, he could be headed back to Sioux Falls." The guy is 6-10" 250 lbs and averaged 20 points 9.3 boards earlier this season in the GLeague. It seems that those NBA stats are there with Vanderbilt, Kessler and Gay this season and surpasses Dok, Bolmaro and NAW. This guy might be worth bringing in as a prospect for the future.

The Stars absolutely slaughtered the GLeague Ignite tonight. No Scoot and the Stars played with 8 guys. Jeenathan Williams and Darryl Morsel looked like studs tonight. Paris Bass was the leading scorer and was +42 in the box. Potter the leading rebounder and Alkins the leading assist guy. Potter was the only Jazz roster guy to play. No Ochai, Bolmaro, Juzang or Frank Jackson for the Stars.

Stars lose by 5 to the Lakers GLeaguers on the road. Potter was the only guy on the Jazz roster to play and he either got injured or was sick as he only played 10 minutes. Frank Jackson returned and scored 20 points on 26 shots. He was 1-10 shooting in the first half. The game was very chippy and four techs called on the Stars with Paris Bass getting ejected on a no call that looked like a goal tend and a foul. Jeenathan Williams and Moresell got techs as well. The Stars climbed out of a huge hole and had a one point and two point deficit late but couldn't get over the hump. Tyler Cook had over 30 points and Rawle Alkins had a strong game.

Thanks for those updates.
I would like to see Bass and Potter playing a few minutes for the Jazz if we embrace the tank later on.

I just saw a blurb that Chandler Hutchison retired from the Sioux Falls Skyforce one night after dropping 30 points and leading the GLeague in three point percentage. He was a first round pick taken one selection after Grayson Allen.

The Stars are a hot mess right now. They had a two point lead midway the third quarter and midway through the 4th quarter they are down by 31 to the Lakers GLeaguers. The legendary Jay Huff and Scottie Pippen Jr looked like Shaq and Kobe in their prime. The Stars couldn't get a rebound to save their life. The leading rebounder was 5 and the Laker JVs had 20 offensive rebounds. Both two way guys are injured and the Stars starting center is injured as well. Frank Jackson was the Stars leading scorer with 33 but pretty much looked disinterested in guarding anything. I can see why the Pistons and Suns waived him within the past year. No Jazz pine riders played so it was a blow out. For Infection, Shaq Harrison played for the Lakers and looked good.

For any Bolmaro or Ochai fans, the news was not good in the Stars game. They and most of the Stars looked hapless against the Kings GLeaguers. The Stars played a dreadful 2nd quarter and the hole was too big to come back from. Jeenathan Williams and Darryl Morsell look better than these two. Tyler Cook was the leading rebounder and assist guy and Stacy Davis was the leading scorer. The sad part about the poor showing is that the Kings GLeaguers will probably never sign a guaranteed NBA contract.

Stars choke one away by 7 after leading by 5 with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Bolmaro, Ochai and Tyler Cook were the main choke artists. Bolmaro did lead the team in rebounds but the last 5 minutes were a turnover, foul and brick fest by the three culprits. Potter played and was on a minutes restriction but was +10 in the box. Juzang didn't play. Both Bolmaro and Ochai are not doing themselves any favors by playing this poorly. I can't imagine anyone wanting to trade for them unless it was to match salary and then waive them. Frank Jackson played well for the Stars. The Stars bench did their job until the tragic last five minutes occurred.

A rotten no good worthless game from the Stars. No Jazz players played. Potter was with the varsity with a DNP, Juzang still has an injured wrist and Ochai and Bolmaro played in Denver. The Stars were never competitive against the Clips GLeaguers. If the Jazz have no plans for Dok he ought to be down with the Stars. Where Frank Jackson was good night before last he was not so good last night.
