Favors playing well and expiring + Joe Jesus expiring means $26 million comes off the books next year for a team that trades for them. That's a pretty attractive piece. ESPECIALLY for a team that is headed to the playoffs and wanting more depth. The Bucks and Cavs seem to be the most likely options there. Do the Bucks look at Jabari, Henson, and a draft pick? They don't have many draft picks they can even trade at this point. I called it a week ago.
Do the Cavs do Shumpert and the BK pick? The Nets are 5 - 8 and look competitive for once. That pick LIKELY won't be a top 2 pick. It will probably be more like a 5th pick. They would have to include a sweetenter like Crowder/Cedi+ or another draft pick. But that has to look awfully attractive to them. Is it enough to make them competitive against the Warriors? They would be upgrading their defense a LOT with Favors.
Whatever the case, that's an attractive package of expiring contracts and serviceable rentals.
