Good Chance Burks Will be Traded This Summer

Doubt it, not as long as they plan on continuing to use Mo. You don't trade two mid firsts and a possible starting young player like Alec for what would end up being a backup point guard. (you really think a rookie point guard would start over a former all star?)

Why would we trade a player with a future and who is needed at the 2 for an unknown? If we really want Burke then why not come up with a package deal with Millsap?

We trade burks and who do we have at the 2? Hayward? Foye? Then who do we have at the 3? Marvin? Junkyard dog ain't coming back the way he's being treated. We need to keep burks.

Trade Millsap. We already have his replacement: favors

If the Jazz have the 16th spot or so and Burke is around at the 12th spot I'd be surprised if it took Burks just to move up those four.

Especially if it's a team that needs draft picks (or to put it more accurately, more talent), it would seem the Jazz could just give up their pick and the GS pick to go up a few spots.

I really like this kid. He is not afraid of anything. Does not talk too much. Can score a variety of ways. He will only improve if given opportunity and responsibility. Why trade him? He is gold with the new CBA in effect.

After last night, it is looking more and more likely that if we could land him, KOC and Lindsey would pull the trigger and give up anything with the exception of Hayward, Kanter, Favors.

Uhhh. How are the Jazz trading a player that won't be on the team? And please don't say anything about a S&T.

Are sign and trades no longer allowed under the new cba?

1) Burke >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bledsoe, and it aint even close. I was probably one of few posters that didn't lose their cool when we didn't make the Millsap trade. I have wanted Burke on this team all season long-- perfect fit, perfect player to complement with players like Hayward, Millsap (if we keep him), and ESPECIALLY Favors.

2) Despite being one of the biggest Burke homers on this board, I still don't exactly know if I would part with one of the core4 to trade him.

Ideally, if Carroll was still in contract, I'd package both Jazz picks + Carroll for Burke. Problem is, I can't see this being enough.

This draft is playing out similarly to the Dwill draft. Hopefully we can package together a bunch of scraps, and get a "Portland" to pull the trigger.

I think Philly is a good target for us. We can skip right in front of Dallas & Portland for Burke.
