No, but he had a blue collar worker persona combined with his extreme efficiency throughout his career. His nickname made sense, alluded to his style, and was creative.

Superman

Then he made up a lot of other names through his career, like The Big Aristotle, Shaq Fu, The Big Shaqtus (during his Phoenix days). He had a ton of pretty good nicknames. They were kind of lame at the same time though because he named himself so many times, but still I admire creative nicknames that aren't initials plus jersey number.

I know he made up a few names, but none of them sticks like the Mailman though...
