What's new

Good thing we didn't trade for Conley last year in the middle of the season

Just imagine how big of a train wreck that would have been. No time to learn the new system at all and just get thrown in immediately. So many people were upset about that too. I myself was quite happy it didn't happen. Hopefully Conley can get things together sooner than later!

The fit issue is always gonna be there. Even Pop couldn't figure out how to play Walker and DM together in the backcourt, how could we expect Quin to do any better? The best case scenario we can probably expect is to divide their playing time and have them lead two separate units.

Popovich had a group of guys who had never played together before. They played a game against completely unfamiliar opponents with different rules. Those circumstances + 7 games of a brand new team isn't a very good set of data for generalization.
