Gordon Hayward - "I think it's definitely cool when guys play their whole career in one city."

Hayward isn't leaving. I find all the speculation around him going this place or that place hilarious. He will sign a max deal with the Jazz. Why would he leave?

Haywards protocol software determined that was the best response to offer given the most recent data it had collected. It also determine his potential to leave necessitated some marginal hedging. His agent was automatically notified of the question real time and his statement was approved by his PR not. His software then notified him it was time to run his fingers through his hair as it was only performing at 87% of its maximum attractiveness.

I gotta wonder if Hayward is even worth the max. I mean he's our best and leading scorer, who takes the most shots, and has the most plays run for him, and the most screens set for him - who just scored a career-high 38 points.

Versus our non-scoring threat at center who just put up 35 points on 95% shooting without any screens or plays being run for him.

Not the sharpest tool in the shed here.

Hayward is Boston Bound.

You don't know what ya got till it's gone...

No he's not

Hayward has stated many times he wants to win.

With Boston he can get to the FINALS, probably next year. Not happening in the West.

I realize the Jazz can offer more cash but he is already set for life and generations with money so it's all about winning.

The $$$ gap will close a little with better endorsement deals in Boston.

I hope he does not, but if I am a betting man he will.

Hayward is smth to be proud of as a leader when it comes to usage rates. You are describing Russell Westbrook and Hayward is the exact opposite. Actually he should use the ball a lot more sometimes. He is too generous.

Here are the usage stats for the Jazz, Thunder and Celtics. Check them out and tell me how does Boston option feel after that:

Actually I bet he stays in Utah, with Rudy Gobert - Hayward gets the ball in his hands and gets to make assists. With Isaiah Thomas, Hayward gets regulated to spot up jump shooter while he watches Isaiah dribble.

I wasn't implying that Hayward shoots too much. He does need to try and take over more, I'm just not sure he has that killer instinct to take over a game when necessary. Point being, Gobert seems to have more of that instinct than Gordon. Gobert seems to take over games more often too - even offensively - and he didn't demand the max. If Hayward does stay in Utah (which I think he does), he really should give the Jazz a hometown discount (which I hope he does).

Agree that he has not met his ceiling in confidence yet. He needs to remember every game and every moment that when he goes hard towards the hoop he will bump the defender hard if he tries to defend him. He is stronger now. He should use contacts more when shots are not falling. He is a Supersaiyan trapped in a Chandler Parson's body. But I doubt he gives discount if there is no significant reason to do it like keeping one or a few absolute contenders on the team.

I partially agree and disagree with this. I think Hayward shows the killer instinct sometimes, but other times he doesn't have it. I'm really interested to see what he's like in a close game in the playoffs, we've never seen him in that situation before.
