Gordon Hayward appeared to be getting a too big yo contract. He got the max. It paid off. The exact same thing can happen with Fournier. It would just be a max contract in relation to the salary cap that year. It's no different than any other year.

I think Hayward's contract would still be one you could live with even if the cap wasn't going up. So now that it is, we just get a bargain with him. Fournier would be like what Haywards would have been if the cap didn't go up.

Doesn't the cap go up another year after this next one for another jump? That would make Fournier come in at at bargain too later.

Watching the highlights of the Blazers game, I think I underestimated the defensive impact Exum had on opposing PGs. No way Lillard gets those same looks against Exum.

I've been preaching this since last season, Exum defense is seriously under rated on this site. He had a huge impact on last season's success defensively. His length and athleticism give opponent PG's trouble.

I still like him for instant offense and think he rebounds a bit.

Burks takes the highest frequency of his shots while holding the ball 6 seconds or longer. 25% of his shots are while having the ball for 6 seconds or longer. Next highest is Burke at 20% of his shots, Hood at 14%, then Hayward at 10%. So there is something to Burks holding onto the ball for too long.

I really don't think it's that big of deal (the 25% thing) if he would increase his catch and shoot %, but his C&S% is extremely low, at 12 percent of his total shots.

There is no way in hell he is as bad at this then Burke and Hood. Burks actually does something with the ball. Half the time it seems like Burke and hood sit at the top of the 3 line and think about what they are going to do then realize they have nothing then reset the offense then go into that Methodical power dribble, and by the time they do something they've had the ball for 15 20 seconds.

That's not Burks game at all plus a tone of his mins are at pg, so he's going to have the ball in his hands a ton. None the less he is very decisive with the ball.

Burks does do better than anyone else when he holds the ball for over 6 seconds, but he holds the ball then shoots more than anyone else (or at least, at a higher rate of his own shots).

Everyone on the team seems to hold the ball too long at the 3pt line, usually after they passed up an open 3, waiting for a pick to come. It's not just a Burks problem, but he does it more than others.
