Greenland

This remark by the POS went up my butt sideways. How dare this clown say any such thing!! Seriously, how dare he!

"Maybe NATO would be upset if I did it… we'd save a lot of money. I like NATO. I just wonder whether or not if needed NATO would they be there for us? I'm not sure they would”.

Well, of course. His memories are all rooted in events that never happened in the first place, like thousands of Muslims in NJ cheering as the Twin Towers fell. So, NATO coming to our aid in the wake of 9-11 is a fact that doesn’t fit his needs at the moment. And, as the Senate demonstrated yesterday, where war powers are concerned, Trump’s needs are the only thing that matters.

Republicans are comfortable with granting absolute power to one man: Donald J. Trump. And Trump is comfortable with absolute power, assuring us that “his morality, his mind” are the only check allowable on his absolute power!!

Only Donald Trump can judge Donald Trump, his power is otherwise absolute!

He’s our Napoleon.

I wish Trump’s cult would let that sink in. Because it’s an invite to disaster, including the soon to be destruction of NATO. One man, with absolute power that only he can check. Which means he’s an elected King, not President. Oh, and he’s a madman!

Still, Denmark presents a special case. Rasmus Grand Berthelsen, a prominent political consultant in Copenhagen, told me that “Denmark has probably been the most American-friendly country in the E.U.” Since 9/11, Denmark has adhered to so-called Super-Atlanticism, which makes alignment with the U.S. its foreign-policy priority. The country sent thousands of troops to serve in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Fifty-two Danish soldiers died in those operations—significant losses in a country with a population of only six million. Among nato allies, Denmark maintained the highest level of popular support for the mission in Afghanistan, even though it sustained the highest number of fatalities per capita. Because of Denmark’s unusually close coöperation with U.S. foreign policy, Berthelsen said, it has been “shocking” to see how “serious the U.S. now is about ignoring our territorial integrity.”

Everything orange turd does just reinforces claim that he became Russian asset in late 1980's. He started yapping about ending NATO since then...
Yes, and this latest nightmare, destroying NATO, forces me back to the position I’ve never really left: he and Putin have a deal, and that deal, whatever the details, who knows, amounts to Donald Trump becoming the greatest traitor in American history. A shame Mueller never followed the money, left that component unexamined. In any event, what Trump is saying about Greenland is a dream come true for Putin. And the Republican Party will own it.

Our North Atlantic friends came to our aid after 9-11. This is a betrayal, and a decision, the extreme stupidity of which, simply cannot be overstated. Trump is a Russian asset.

President Donald Trump said Friday he may impose tariffs on countries “if they don’t go along with Greenland.”

“We need Greenland for national security. So I may do that,” Trump said at the White House during a health-care-related event.

The comments show Trump, whose push to acquire Greenland for the U.S. has grown increasingly aggressive in recent months, turning to one of his favorite tools for leveraging power over foreign nations.

The White House did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for additional information on Trump’s remarks.

The Trump administration has previously said it is weighing multiple options, including utilizing the U.S. military, in order to take over the Danish territory.

Trump asserts it is essential that America own Greenland — even though the U.S. already maintains a military base there — because of national security concerns posed by China and Russia.

The White House has also said the U.S. is considering making an offer to buy the Arctic island. But Greenland and Denmark have repeatedly insisted that the territory is not for sale and has no wish to be absorbed into America.

Trump’s suggestion that he may wield tariffs to get his way on Greenland came after he described a similar strategy to force foreign countries to raise their drug prices.

Trump has pushed to lower the cost of U.S. drugs by mandating that domestic prices match lower ones paid overseas.

At the White House event Friday, Trump said he threatened the leaders of multiple countries to either raise drug prices as part of a “most favored nations” deal, or else face heavy tariffs on all their imports to the U.S.

“I may do that for Greenland too. I may put a tariff on countries if they don’t go along with Greenland, because we need Greenland for national security,” Trump said.

Lol. What a dumbass

I wish other nations would enact embargos on American goods to show they will not stand for this ****. I know we drive a gigantic share of the global economy but stuff like that is about the only way they can stand against us, as there is no way they can militarily.
