Honestly, I wonder if Marvin can chew gum and walk at the same time. I thought he was going to break out after his 2nd season, but he just doesn't have the killer instinct. He might be a little better on Utah. He'll probably average about 12 points and 7 rebounds a game. However, he is a huge disappointment. His shot is not very consistent. He often takes the worst possible path to the basket. He also gets blocked and stripped way too much for my taste. Marvin just seems to be one of these guys that just doesn't have it. He's a prety good defender. However, that boy is clumsy.

I haven't seen him play much, but from what I've seen, he didn't look clumsy. Sounds more like poor instincts or basketball IQ. Maybe our coaching staff can change that.

If you want to pass this along, whether or not he makes the Jazz has nothing to do with his shooting, we know he can shoot. If he shows he can pass, defend, pick up and run the offense, rebound, THAT will determine if he makes the team or not.

Personally I am hoping Murphy gives us something like Kevin Martin. I think their games are very similar. Hoping for a better defender though.
