Didn't trey sign one of those 2-way contracts? Could the Jazz acquire a guy on a 2-way contract? What are the restrictions?
 
Hmm.. I don't think he's that bad of a fit to be honest. He is a VERY GOOD passer for a big man, and he could make our 2nd unit better offensively. Not to mention being able to score down low as well.


I think he could come off the bench next to Udoh and give us a scoring punch off the bench and make everyone else better with his passing.

So, why would we want Monroe? Terrible fit. We need a versatile player who can create off the dribble and shot 3s (tons of 3)!
 
I'm not advocating Monroe here, but he couldn't shoot any worse than the team did collectively last night!
 
Can't tie up cap space. Jazz need to acquire starters to replace Favors, Hood, and IMO, Jingles.
Favs is ****. Hood is a complementary piece who will get overpaid by someone. Jingles is a 4th option who might serve Utah better backing up 3 positions off the bench.
 
My thought is that he is talented. He was in he same draft ad Udho and Hayward. He was the 7th pick overall and two years ago average 15 and 8. I don't see Favors doing that.

One Love, like a lot of kiwis i'm never sure if you're being serious or not. Greg Monroe is completely 100% a pile of useless steaming stinking garbage, a carcass floating down the one way river to NBA purgatory for big men.

I think you can do worse than having him as your big man off the bench. He won't be cheap but his contract is expiring which in and of itself has value as well.
