I really doubt we will offer him a five year deal even though we would be able to do so. Last summer he turned down a 3 year 24 million and I think this year he'll get a 4 year offer in the 35-40 range. He will want more and maybe he can find it, but I really doubt that Jazz offer more than 10/yr or more than 4 years with all the rookie contracts expiring in the next year or two.

Millsap won't re-sign here. I doubt Jefferson will either, but with his personality I think it's more likely. It's not a comfortable position to be in, playing ahead of two young #3 picks and fan favorites.

Maybe Millsap will want to play in Atlanta or Houston. I don't imagine some of the other teams with cap space feel that they are ready for him. Maybe Charlotte or Cleveland?

My guess is at least one of Millsap/Jefferson will go in a sign and trade.

Kanter is still too raw to start. Sad to say, but he is. Will he be ready next season? Maybe.

So the Jazz have to decide whether they want Kanter pounding people sometimes and looking lost other times for the first thirty or so games next year or do they want to sign Al to a multi year contract that guarantees that Kanter waits another 3-5 years to start.

As long as Jefferson and Millsap are on this team, the Jazz will never start Favors and Kanter.

The Jazz value experience more than talent and potential.

I saw Burchardt or McLeod, Palacio type of players start in front of Okur and D-Will. Both were All-Stars in this league.

This really shows pretty much how the Jazz treat young players. It's disgusting. No young player would want to play for the Jazz.

Hey I'm with ya. I want Al and Paul gone because I want Favors and Kanter both starting. I agree that it will be a tragedy that Kanter will continue to ride the pine for years to come. I dont want to see that, but I'm used to how the Jazz think. They will look around at the free agents and decide Al or Paul is the best option. They won't even consider how it will effect Kanter. Plus they don't want to take any chances that Kanter and Favors won't be able to carry us.

Our best hope is that Kanter will only have to play one more year on the bench then finally maybe we will make a trade. Who knows. Maybe it all pays off then.

This is why we'd have been better off trading Al or Paul last year. By now, Kanter would at least be in a spot where he was more comfortable and could probably be relied on a bit more next year, plus we'd almost certainly have a better pick incoming. Frustrating.

I have the feeling that the Jazz will resign both, Millsap and Jefferson and will overpay them.

I see Burks and Kanter being traded to move up in the draft and to get other players.

It's just my thought.

The front office and coaching stuff always do things the fans don't want.

I'm used to it.

I don't care anymore. Me and the Jazz front office are lightyears appart in the way we think. They don't have much in common with the majority of the Jazz fans. Seems unlikely that this Organization will ever win a Championship. They simply lack the ability to take risks in order to achieve a high reward. We are not a big market that is a magnet for Free Agents with big names. We need to take bigger risks if we want to achieve more than the first round of the Playoff's each year.

if that happens i'm done.
then i know jazz don't want to win a championship.
their goal is making money
