Gun control myths and info

Oh boy..from gun control to discussing situation in Poland..
But if you insist.. Party of Kaczynski:
- violated the constitution by replacing the judges of the Constitunal Tribunal against the existing rules. And they are actively trying to get control of the courts of law.
- the public tv channel has reached the level of propaganda unseen since the comunist period, it has really become ridicoulous and closer to North Korea than civilised standards
- ruined the relations with pretty much everyone in European Union thus isolating itself from any decision making on the european level
- is turning blind eye on actions taken by far right groups. They are not actively supporting it but they create the climate in which those groups start to do things they didn't dare before: physically attacking peaceful Pride demonstrations, commiting antisemitic acts etc.
- trying to rewrite the history of the fall od comunnism in Poland (Kaczynski was of little role in that processus so he plays hero now) and denying any black episodes during the II WW
- weakening the army and many important cultural institutions
- financing and supporting the most radical and backwarded wing of the Polish Catholic Church
This party is popular because:
- gave social benefits to families - 100 euros for a child (starting from a second one) per month. It s a great voting bribe.
- plays anti immigration card. I agree that western Europe has a serious problems with Arab population. But it's imaginary problem for Poland - it never had any colonies, there is no Arab population in Poland. And even if EU will force it to accomodate some refugees from the Middle East they will run away to the West as soon as they can because of: difficult language, climate, low salaries and very hostile society.
Look, I can understand that people have conservative views and respect that but the party of Kaczynski is just the biggest assembly of idiots Poland has ever seen in its long history.

Jazzmix, are you a polish and living in Poland?

Well, i have heard that the only problem when working in Poland or for a polish company is a sometimes a very annoying supervisor. As i have to anyway transit through the Poland when visiting some other European country, i have never encountered any hostility with the exception of the general car traffic (which is crazy compared to traffic in Czech republic, Croatia or Austria). It seems that Poland has a lot of undiscovered WRC Rally talents :-).
Of course, i have tried to say the basic words in polish when staying at hotels, buying something and tried to show that family values are important to me. Never-ever have i thought that it is a polite to wave a rainbow flag during the sunday morning prayer in front of the altar at the local church. My wife had an over 10 year long career in company which most of the time was under control of a Polish company which was again under control of a big French company (main supervisor for my wife was a frenchman who lived in Poland with his polish wife). She never encountered any hostility despite she was a foreigner and when she was in work interview the polish ex bosses even answered the calls of the recruiting company.
So yes, i had to choose where to work one year and the options are either Gdansk or Budapest vs Baltimore or San Francisco then of course i would choose Budapest or Gdansk.

Ok so I didn’t read your entire post but just off the first paragraph I can tell you that you’re conflating patriotism and nationalism. That’s a big mistake.

What the two leaders of Poland and Hungary have done over the past few years isn’t patriotic. It’s nationalistic. Both of these leaders have crushed the free press, packed the courts full of loyalists, taken control of the education system, and have crushed the rights of immigrants and minorities (racial and religious) all under the guise of nationalism.

This would be considered by most people to be bad. Why don’t you?
What rights of mine are violated? As much as i know the law of Poland and EU - the polish company has no problems hiring me should i be suitable for them and the conditions are suitable for me?
As much as i have read - no problems to work in Poland if you have skills and salary is OK for you. Plenty of foreigners. Again, it seems, that you only trust "made in USA" news on media located in USA and have not even been in Poland in recent years.

You should probably read those articles i posted

And you should visit Poland and Hungary to see on your own eyes what is happening there.
Thriller, Dalibor Rohac does not seem even a polish or hungarian person?
As you know, i am pro NATO and anti-Russia (but not a russophobe). However, during the last ten years their is tendency that outside persons (mostly lefties and in "warm" workplaces - i.e where you have a job but not doing a job i.e you just try to think what somebody else must do and create a lot of documents ) and from another countries who preach that other nations must do like they dictate. Almost every sentence is owerblown etc. It is even visible in our country where the dividing process is in full mode.
And again, i agree that Hungary is too close to Russia but i would say that Germany is more pro-Russia than Poland. And of course due its size Poland is causing some economic challenges to my country too. Truck driving business and cheap agricultural products, for example. 10 years ago there was maybe 1 out of 20 trucks with Polish registration plate on via Baltika (E67 road). Now it seems to be around 10/20.

Yes, I am Polish. I live in Belgium since 15 years but I have family and friends there, visit it often and follow polish medias on daily basis. I don't know if it makes me enough "expert" on the subject in your eyes.
If you want to discuss the level of democracy basing it on your short personal experiences while visiting some country than we end up having that ridicoulous discussion where you don't even try to answer Thriller's or mine arguments but keep on saying you haven't notice any of that yourself.
And you know.. I was twice in Russia for couple of weeks, it was great, people were very friendly, I could work there if I wanted, they really like Putin and I didn't see human rights violation with my eyes.. Hell, why everyone keeps complaining about democracy there?!

LMAO. America is such a weird ****ing place.

What could be the approximate value (i.e retail price) of those firearms? Being a male chauvinist (according to my wife :) ) i find it hard to believe that a such a nice lady would buy such amount of firepower with her own money? Maybe she just a South Park or Paul Verhoeven fan?

Edit: OK, after looking her posts on the Twitter - i am even more confused :-). Like the only shopping possibility near her home is a firearm store. Assuming she and her friends are not Paul Verhoeven, Heinlein and South Park fans and just like act like firearm lovers and hard core republican supporters from the Grand Theft Auto universe.
