We're taking my husband and dad to California Pizza Kitchen. Haven't been there in a couple years so I'm looking forward to it - I hope the dads are as well!

for B - who always brings home the bacon, except yesterday, when he forgot and left it on the table at the Pancake House

I heard this on the radio the other day and thought it was pretty funny: "If men put in as much effort as women do on Father's Day for Mother's Day there would be some pretty angry women on Mother's Day."

I'm going to bust out my best attempt at a good gyros sandwich on the BBQ today if the weather allows, but it's looking like a rainy FD in Utah.

Yum. So, your backyard aside, where is the best place in Utah County to get a good gyro? I had one last week at a fair and it made me remember how awesome a properly made gyro can be.

And thanks, moe! :-)

I highly don't recommend my backyard. I hear the cook is a total amateur that can probably be outcooked by your average McDonald's line cook and is just hoping to be good in a few years when he has a family to cook for. I'm also a terribly boring eater when I'm at home so I honestly have no clue about where to find a good gyro in UC. I usually stick to a diet with the occasional restaurant trip with the girlfriend and we have 3 or 4 spots that we mainly frequent or we go buy ingredients from the foreign shops and whip up something. I'd be interested in any recommendations for a good UC gyro that others might provide as well though.

Crown Burger gyros aren't half bad, imo. Good onion rings too.
