No doubt Vietnamese New Year's cuisine involves dogs and/or cats...

And a happy ending.

i been to vietnam several times dude,,never seen any1 eating dogs or cats,,im sure there are people eating those, but not as common as u think..

Aren't the Vietnamese really just counting down the years until China finally absorbs them?

I definitely think that going to Beijing or Shanghai during Chinese New Year's week should trump the NYC ball drop on New Year's Eve on anybody's life's bucket list. I mean, they even blew out a brand new skyscraper a few years ago with illegal fireworks:

And they don't even open the stock market for the entire week, so you know it's a serious party.

So is it the year of the dragon in Vietnam too? Or are you guys too good for that?

Ya. No Pho either. Frickin' Asians.

I had some outstanding pho tonight. All beef, 4 styles. My wife had seafood pho. Summer rolls with prawns and peanut sauce for appetizer. Mmmmmmm.

There is a fantastic place in Layton next to the applebees north of the mall. Probably the best pho I have ever had. Would be worth the trip for you. I'll look it up later and give you the name. I think it is Kim Long.
