Harpring vs DWill

People who disagree with me are greedy and self-interested. Those who agree with me, however, are rational people who only care about the good of the game.

I want a season to happen so I have an agenda too. But I don't want a season to happen if their isn't parity. I'm willing to lose the entire season if it fixes this crap system. I'm not real happy with the deal as it stands.

I hadn't seen this posted:

From Deron Williams twitter:
Deron Williams "@hoopshype: For a guy that's only a couple of years removed from playing, M Harpring sure sounds very pro-owners." Was thinking Samething

Harprings reply:

@DeronWilliams @hoopshype let me speak for myself then. i am for fairness and for the fans! their is no game without the fans!

Wow, sounds like they really loved each other. I betcha they're (or is it their?) going to get together for lunch when Orlando (or whatever team Dwill forces a trade to) comes to town.

Harpring doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would make such an obvious grammatical error.

What Deron doesn't seem to understand is that in order for the game to continue to grow and still be here in a few years, there had to be a change against what the players think they need. Sometimes, when you're in the heat of a strong opinion/argument, you can't always see the big picture. You're too busy trying to prove your "right". When in reality, being "right" is actually bad for the health of the league.

Granted, some owners are greedy. Other owners are terrible at managing teams. The point is to create a system where every team has a fair shot. Meaning, the ones who are greedy now have to pay out more. The ones who are terrible at managing their team now have a bandaid or two along with shorter contracts which lessens their future mistakes. The ones who are neither but can't seem to stay ahead now have more of the pie to work with. The ones who are really good but couldn't compete with the ones with bigger pots now have more of that pot back to them along with the possibility of even more if those big potheads, I mean big market guys, spend too much, it comes back to bite them. Huzzah! ;) hehehe

In other words, I like the word fair. If it doesn't hurt on both sides then it's not really a fair deal.

Harpring is a passionate guy. Sometimes, when rushing to make a point, mistakes happen. Plus, it's a bit harder to correct a mistake once it's already been posted to other people's pages. :)

I respect Harpring - he is a smart dude...while other players where spending their daily meal money he saved good chunk of it. He as well made quite a bit of money by investing smart. Plus he was the strongest Jazz player while he played... I read he was bench pressing and squating heavier weights then Malone.
To bad as game announcer Matt sucks...
As far as this feud goes I agree with Matt. Deron should shut up.

I disagree that Harpring sucks as an announcer. He is far more knowledgeable than Bolerjack and Boone--not that they set the bar very high

Deron is right Harping was pro-owner but like most anything people's opinions usually tend to lean towards their own self-interest. DW is pro-player because he is an active player. I certainly don't think this is a feud as some people are saying. It is simply two people who have a different viewpoint on the issue. Speculating that Harp and DW do not like each other is purely speculation. I think people are trying to make something out of nothing here.

I don't believe for a second Harpring could bench more than Malone. Not for a second.
