What's new

Hate on it haters.

I think LA ends up taking Lin and Asik to preserve 2015 space and try and stay competitive this year... can't see a non-playoff small market team biting that bullet.

Try and stay competetive? But how will they ever do that with 2 overrated role players?

Conceivable. They would then have the inside track on re-signing them for 2015/16. Kobe, Lebron, Asik and Lin would be a decent foundation. Add to that the player they get this year (Randle?) and a likely lottery pick next season: not bad.

I'd gladly trade Kanter and 23 in this draft for a guaranteed top 5 in 2017. New Orleans sucks Pelican eggs. Jazz are gonna trade Tomic rights anyway, getting a better Center for a year plus a pick in an awesome '17 draft? Hell ya! And who are we gonna sign this season to backup Burke that's better than Lin? JLIII? LOL!

Go to the Kings fanboard, mister "I'm in Sacramento."

Utah born and raised... Moved to Sacramento because I like golfing in December.

New Orleans has maybe the 3rd best player in the league on their roster and he'll be hitting his prime right about 2017. They will likely be the next team to move to a big market when they sell... and they will sell. They have mismanaged their capspace and have misfitting talent, but I'd gladly swap rosters to get Anthony Davis.

Also are you scouting Junior High kids... Who the flip knows what the 2017 draft will be like... they are talking about making kids go to college for two years... maybe we should start overpaying for 2018 picks now. Banking on the 2017 draft now would be a bit foolish.

They are trying to preserve their 2015 cap space for Westbrook, Love and others. They may be interested in renting two decent players ( i never said they were overrated ). They are trying to win this year... I don't think we are.

Should have moved to Florida. Florida courses>California Courses.

And everyone and their grandma knows 2017 is gonna be a good draft

Debatable... if it was all about golf I would have moved to Arizona. Less crazy people there too. Sacramento is nice... don't think I could ever go back to Utah, but still love the Jazz.

2017 is supposed to be a good draft, but Lance Stephenson was supposed to be the next LeBron... Austin Rivers was supposed to be good at basketball... Andrew Harrison was supposed to be a can't miss top #5 pick... OJ Mayo (I think you get it) things don't always work out like they are supposed to.

If the Jazz wanted their 2017 pick they could call and offer a second rounder (top #55 protected) and just take EG into their capspace and New Orleans would walk away giggling. No reason to include Kanter, #23. That is why I said it is .25 on the dollar.

I don't know how anyone who's ever gotten out of Utah are able to go back.

In this scenario i'd rather do it and be wrong than not do it and be right.

That's true...

It's tempting because of cost of living and the political/business environment in CA, but then I visit during the winter and wonder why anyone would live there.

The only difference is that Favors prefers playing 4. Both Howard and Asik knew they were 5's therefore they couldn't coexist. It's not like Favors and Asik would be fighting for minutes. Both would be starters. Favors would play 4, whoop ***, Asik would play 5, whoop ***.

Regardless of if Favors wants to play of or C. Both play in the middle in the low block. Houston tried to do this, and it didn't work.
