Hayward as a SF......never again.

Though he did play great D on Iggy it was only because Iggy is a permiter player. Hayward has great perimeter defense and its hard for any SG to shoot over an athletic 6'8 player, but Hayward can't bang down low which is the main reason he shouldnt play SF.

Also Hayward is the heartbeat of the offense and on average the ball should be in his hands more than anyone else's. Harris should push the ball hard and if their is nothing kick it back to Hayward and let him run a play.

If Hayward isn't our starting 2 guard tomorrow I'm going to go ape ****.

Harris
Hayward
Miles.....though I think Howard will be starting here soon.

Ahhhhhhh another convert. I love it. How do you feel about Favors at center?

For my money: #2 Hayward--Permanent start, no matter what. I don't care if he has a bad string of games, he's part of the teams future and he'll be our two. #3 Howard. I like the idea of miles and Jefferson in the 2nd unit, both with the capability to go off offensively.

Perimeter doesn't just mean three pointers. Iggy shoots jumpers or drives it in. He isn't a post up SF.

I regret nothing.

He did just fine on Iggy. He'll still get torched by a Carmelo or Lebron, but who doesn't?

I was sold on Hayward at SG after he slayed the black mamba and became the white mamba. After this game, a new avy was in order.

I have told it millions of times that Hayward has a great advantage at 2 but he has a physical disadvantage starting at 3. Once he has shooting consistency and doesn't give lazy passes that the opponent may interrupt easily, he will be the best SG of his draft year. (better than wesley johnson and evan turner)

But the only problem with him starting at 2 is, if Burks will become a great talent as we hope, how will we use them both? Burks+Hayward physically too low to defend 2-3 together

If Hayward is the heartbeat of our offense (like one has said) than we are screwed. He is an ok defender at best. An ok offensive player at BEST. If Ty Corbin continues to start Hayward I would fire him. Hayward as our heatbeat? We need an open heart surgery performed then. I'm not saying he's horrible, I'm just saying if he was the heatbeat in my chest, I would get a pacemaker. Lakers heartbeat is Kobe, Chicago is Rose, Heat is Lebron, Wade, New York is Melo, Utah Jazz is GORDON HAYWARD. Not a good look. Let's trade him for a floor mop.

Hayward has intangibles you're not giving him credit for. When he is running the offense the Jazz become a completely different team. I look forward to seeing what it would look like if Burks plays alongside him in the back court.
