What's new

Hayward has agreed to an offer with Hornets

don't forget, they will have to extend kemba and mkg the next 2 seasons

now this guys will demand their money too

let them have this deal with all the consequences

Ouch both the 2 and 3 can't make 3's at a consistent rate then. Gordon Hayward is a shorter Hedo Turkoglu with 10% less on his 3 pt shooting. This Gordon Hayward contract will be worse then the Raptors contract for Hedo.

With Big Al as the low post presence, Hayward's 3pt % is sure to rise.

Uggggg. I gotta wake up to this?

Count me in on the "don't match" side if this.

What a terrible contract.

We need to send a message to the league on this. If you offer ridiculous contracts to our RFA's we will make you eat that contract.

You need to go and vote in the other thread to send a message to the FO.

That's what I am saying. This deal affects us negatively so why should anyone be happy for Hayward if you are a Jazzfan?

Becuase I am not that irrational. Hayward is a good kid and I don't fault him his success or payday. Good for him. Now the Jazz will match even though they shouldn't.

The Jazz and their perpetual "let the market set the number" are the reason he has this contract. Wed Mayhews, Paul Milsap, etc.

This league overpays for young talent. Jazz gambled and lost.

What were they supposed to do? The tried to sign Hayward last year and he wouldn't do it. In a case like that you have to wait and see.

I've long been a Hayward fan, supporter, and defender. I want him on the Jazz. BUT this strikes me as a fool's contract. As much as I've supported Hayward, I wouldn't match. I'd be sad and disappointed about it, but I wouldn't match.

Tobias Harris will be a free agent after next season, would be a great option if we don't match.

fire corbin and trade big al 2 years ago

a player don't reject a 12mln offer and risks to be injured, unless he's really unhappy with the organization

i'm sorry to say this, but the jazz has to pay their debts one way or the other, that's the rules of life
