What's new

Hayward was not the leader of butler teams last year

he was 3rd option behind mack and matt howard and yes this is the truth. yes butler made the chip game without mack but michigan state also made final four without their leader. Hayward cashed in when he had the chance cuz if he would have came back people would of saw how limited his game really is. Why do the jazz alwats waste first round picks on scrubs but kill it in the 2nd round and get studs?

WTH? IT showed how bad Hayward was missed yesterday by Butler when there got there Asses handed to them by Louisville. Hayward was the leader and top player on that team without question.

I don't know were you come up with this stuff ncoloradojazz.

11 games. Give him at least one season before calling him a scrub. College performance doesn't matter THAT much. Remember when they actually used to draft high school guys? It's about potential not accomplishments.

Yeah, it was the guy w/ the awesome mustache, Matt Howard, who impressed me most in the Championhip Game.
The only other wing I would've wanted was Paul George (then Xavier Henry) but I think the staff thought Hayward would fit the system best.

Look, according to reports, we tried to trade up for Cousins but then we wouldn't have had Jefferson. Where, drafting Cousins over trading for Jefferson could've hurt the chances of keeping DWill happy...

You guys dont get it... it's ncolorado's schtick.
It's not going to change.... just fishing for a reaction.
My guess is that she asked Hayward to the girls choice dance in HS, and got rejected.
She has been following him on message boards ever since.

Am I close NColorado? Cmon, give me a clue.

I wasn't happy about the Jazz drafting him either but your repeated claims are absurd, it was his fight and leadership that made him popular and why he kept climbing up the draft boards so you know something all these NBA execs don't I guess. Also he was the leader on the America's World Under 19 team, so I guess Utah had infected America with their prejudice before they even drafted him.

Oh crap they trained in CO Springs you better watch out NoCO it's spreading right in your backyard.

Deron Williams was not the leader of Illinois team in '05

he was 3rd option behind brown and luther head and yes this is the truth. Williams cashed in when he had the chance cuz if he would have came back people would of saw how limited his game really is. Why do the jazz alwats waste first round picks on scrubs but kill it in the 2nd round and get studs?

Oh how I've missed you. LOL

Khalid El-Amin and Ricky Moore were the leaders of UConn's championship squad about a decade ago yet they're currently trying to outsell Trout in car insurance while Rip Hamilton's winding down one heck of a career. So what's your point?

Speakin of draftin Deron, and all, Blood, I just listened to KOC discussin it a little. A few things he mentioned that they liked about Deron were:

1. He got significantly better between his frosh and soph, years, then again between his soph and Jr. years, showing he was will to work hard to improve

2. They had a long talk with his college coach and found out that, among others things, Deron hated gittin beat at ping pong, and would insist that they keep playin more games if a guy was beatin him. When Brown was with the team, I remember him sayin that Deron had really raised his ping pong game, and was completely dominating Brown by then.

3. It was evident that he sacrificed himself for the benefit of the (Illinois) team, and that's the kinda thing they were lookin for.

Almost clean forgot this here, eh?:

4. College coach also said that, after he played against Christina in college, Deron seen her in the parkin lot, headin for the team bus, and Deron went over to shake her hand. At least that's what Christina thought. But once she stuck out her hand, Deron grabbed it and jerked her down to her knees. He then told her she had a choice:

1. She could bark like a dog, then beg for mercy, or

2. Deron would put his boot in her teeth.

The girl barked and begged. KOC said that kinda clinched it, as far as who they would take between the two.
