If I was Boston I would trade Kyrie before Hayward. You can get more for him and Kyrie doesn't fit as well. He doesn't play defense and he is much more of a ball hog. Hayward can fit in.

I think Tatum can go get buckets but not sure brown and Hayward are great iso options. Kyrie might be one of the best.

I think if they trade for Kawhi it will be Gordon that goes.

It is very ironic that the best place for Hayward, and the best thing for our team, would be for him to be here right now. Hayward along-side DM et al would be exactly what we need and we would be instantly competing for the chip. Funny how things work out.

Maybe not, with that contract, though. We would have given him the supermax, which would have caused some other problems. Would it have been worth it to max him for 5 years?

Listening to Wyck talk about that trade on a podcast last week made me laugh... they got two picks and he told Danny to go back and ask for another... and they said yes.

Part of it is realizing which GMs suck and you can take advantage of their situation.

Perhaps, but Ainge still deserves some credit for capitalizing on that opportunity.

Another thing to note... On the ESPN pod where Windy was talking finances he noted Boston doesn't make as much as some might think. Basically made as much as us last year. They don't own their arena.

They likely are fine going into the tax but may never go deep into the tax Warriors or Cavs style.
