headband ban stands

If I was the coach I would let them wear headbands. Since I am not the coach I am content to let the coach decide. He decided to not allow headbans. Good enough for me. Not worth arguing/debating over.

Hmmm, interesting, I had never thought of that. So, I wonder whether the eyebrow and eyebrow ridge is an evolutionary response to minimizing getting sweat in the eyes? Any biologists here who have an answer? (Also out of curiosity, what other mammals sweat out of their skin?)

...yeah, when that eyebrow less monkey was being chased by that lion along time ago....he started to sweat profusely! Within weeks he "evolved" eyebrows....to protect him from the next attack!

Humans didn't evolve from monkeys. (Although I admit in your case I can see why someone might assume that.)

No no no. The way it happened was a neanderthal (pronounced knee-and-er-tall) with a pronounced ridge and eyebrow was fighting for a mate with another neanderthal with no real brow and a relatively smooth forehead, more like a modern man. Then of course the one with the brow and ridge won, since the other one got sweat in his eyes, so the browed wonder was allowed to mate, which is why all humans now have pronounced ridges and eyebrows. LG - How do you resize an image? I saw you explain it elsewhere but failed to take notes.

Have you ever seen a monkey? They have all covering most of their face and head. If, as you are saying, eyebrows are a product of evolution then I assume we at one time had hair all over our face like a monkey. Most of it went away since we didn't need it, except the eyebrow hair which served a purpose to protect the eyes from sweat. Never heard of anyone thinking we evolved from hairless monkeys....until now.

While there was some inter-breeding, we didn't evolve from neanderthals, either.

Exactly. It was a cro-magnon woman they were fighting over. But thanks to the prominent ridges and brows that neanderthal had himself some full upright-walking *** that night!
