Get your facts straight, before you posted that link even you said that sloan outlawed them. Get your facts straight before you flap your buttcheeks and look like an idiot

This is a stupid thing to argue about, I'll digress.

I'm just happy that the Jazz got rid of that unwritten rule, it was stupid to begin with

I was in the process of pointing out which facts were wrong in the previous post and realized they pretty much all were. Only one was semi-true (PG calling plays. You were semi-right here, but if Stockton QB'ed more than a few plays on his own). My personal favorite was ruining AK. Lost some coffee through my nose on that one. But on top of that, in 23 years of coaching the Jazz, he only had one losing season. One. Losing. Season. You don't do that without being able to coach out of your buns.

If you don't think he was a great coach, fine. But call the facts correct or don't call them at all.

Half of anyone who ever played for the Trailblazers before 2000 had one. Probably the biggest stigma came from the association with the Blazers during their “Jailblazers” era.

Seeing as one of his former players continued the tradition, not so stupid.

Not all players wanted headbands, so they were outlawed. Seems about right to me.

Just clarifying it was the team, not the coach outright. Never saw it as a big deal personally, but whatever.

This is my favorite thing that people have ever gone to war about on this site. Amazing.

Head over the general discussion board. There are a number of threads over there that qualify.

In order for head bands to be allowed all players needed to wear them so no one could. (Outlawed)

    Ya that makes no sense.
Why didn't he make that rule for everything else? Why just headbands?
Why even have that rule. Each person is an individual. They are not robots.

I saw this thread and wondered how it had 75 replies. Wish I hadn’t read it.

I don’t get the problem. It promotes togetherness as a team. That was the whole idea behind it.

Do you think a player wearing a headband makes a team not have togetherness?
Do you think a team could have dysfunction even if no one wears a headband?

    Headbands are not magical dude.
