Wait… in what way did THT outplay Dunn? Worse ppg, rpg, apg, bpg, spg, shooting percentages, and more turnovers.
Oh brother

Think before you post. What segment of the season did both players play in the same context? Compare just those numbers, not the start of the season when actual ball was being played and Dunn was in the GLeague

Embrace reality before you post. Dunn’s worst month for fg% or 3p% was better than THT’s best month all year.
Does that even matter in basketball???

Try watching the games
First you argued with youth and upside, now you argue eyeball test.

I get the upside argument, but I dont get you watching them and coming out with a perspective that he is a better player as is.

Right now THT is worse than Kris Dunn in pretty much everything except the spin move.

Good lord some of y'all are so weird

You watched a journeyman be hyper efficient against tanking competition because he had an unusually hot shooting streak on very minimal attempts and you think he is better than a guy who was making legitimate plays and actually tldoikg things.

And yes, the advanced stats favor THT over the course of the time since Dunn started playing.

Dunn just feels more consistent and steady, like I don't trust THT at all. Part of that is age and experience, part of that is play style.

There is not doubt that THT has a much higher ceiling than Dunn, and so it would be amazing if he could calm down a little and play under control. It's just difficult for me to imagine since the impression of THT that sticks in my head is of him taking step back long twos early in the shot clock or spinning for no reason as he barrels his way to the basket.

My memory might be faulty, but don't teams straight up target Bane on defense? I don't think of him as a plus defender at all. He's got the T-rex arms which is why he fell in the draft.

Not that I've seen. Bane can stay in front of his guy and is smart and in good position for the most part. I've always thought of him as a good, but not great defender.

Since 9th of February both played around same amount of minutes and possessions. Dunn had 33% less FGA than THT at that period with 10% less minutes played. So you are saying the difference in "very limited attempts" and "making legitimate plays" (your words) is 33%.... or less than 5 shots per game.

Also btw, you are essentiallly rewarding THT for missed shots here since the FGM was 5.3 (Dunn) vs 6.3 (THT), so only marginally different.

Why would teams target Bane and not Ja. Bane is fine on defense.
