Well, I'm a lifelong Jazzfan but I'm not nearly as knowledgeable about basketball as most of the people who post in the Utah Jazz section. So, I usually don't participate in the Jazz specific discussions when I don't feel like I have anything to add. I do read a lot of them, though. Sometimes I feel compelled to try my hand at a little joke here and there, even while the grown-ups are talking. Sorry that it is so offensive to you. I wonder why you have a hard time getting along with others on this board?
 
Let me see if I can get this train back on track...

Matt is at his best when he's commenting about the play on the court and giving us non-professional-athletes insight into a game he played (along with football) for years. I appreciate his knowledge of the Jazz system and even-handed, unhomeristic view of what's going on. What I don't like about Matt is when he's trying to be "cute" or funny, sometimes he tries too hard to put his personal stamp on the commentary with his little sayings like "fry sauce foul" (WTF?!?), go-go gadget arms, signage, heads-on-a-stick, and so forth. If he would cut those down and either leave the promos to Boler or, for for pity's sake, go to school somewhere and learn how not to put long pauses and awkward inflection into what should be 6 second ads, he'd go a lot farther with us fans. I'm still undecided, but if he could do those things, I think he really could be a great commentary guy instead of sometimes good, mostly annoying.

That being said, given the choice I would send Bolerjack packing first. Several times a game I wonder how a guy sitting courtside, with monitors to reference, can't seem to keep track of what's going on.

For those with knowledge of what happened: This is code for "they didn't buy into my conspiracy theories and weren't thrilled when I started stalking other board members."

In any event, write4u is still here despite promising he would leave the board approximately 1,387 times over the last two years.
