Great point. This is actually why I really want DeMarre Carroll back. Carroll to me, is essentially what Iguadola was in 2013. A physical, defensive wing with enough size and shooting to be dangerous when needed.Hard to say that after watching GS completely troll the league with their Curry/Thompson/Iggy/Barnes/Green lineup.
Hayward/Burks/Hood is a great foundation of young wings, but adding someone like Stanley Johnson who can theoretically offer 3/4 flexibility would be very appealing; that's the current trend of the NBA, and it's only going to magnify after GS actually won with it.
If the Jazz trade Burke and slide Burks to PG, it would give them the positional flexibility to player either Gobert or Favors at center, roll out three 6'8 guys at the wing (Carroll, Hayward and Hood) that can functionally fit together AND they have two 6'6 pgs (Exum/Burks) to choose from.
Gobert/Favors vs. Bogut/Green/Lee
Carroll vs. Iguadola
Hood vs. Barnes
Hayward vs. Thompson
Exum/Burks vs. Curry
I think that roster makeup for the Jazz has the player and positional flexibility to match up against any traditional or small ball lineup. I also wouldn't hesitate to draft either Stanley Johnson or Kelly Oubre for the same reasons.
