Hood traded to Cleveland for Crowder; Johnson to Sacramento

The more I think about this, the more I feel good about what we got. Hood was out the door anyway and we got a good defender, decent 3pt shooter, who could play multiple positions, and who plays hard.

It's a line drive for a double at the moment, but if Crowder could play up to the level he was playing in BOS it could turn into a home run for DL.

so how does this work money wise. i thought the contracts had to match but we are also taking on rose's contract. there has to be a pick or something. For people complaining, I remember 80 percent of the board where clamoring for Crowder after losing the player never to be mentioned.

Because he was meant to be compensation for Benedict not paid for with Hood.

Now that Hood is gone, I can let the extent of my disdain for him fly.

Excited to see how a guy who didn't show in almost every game that mattered will play in the situation he's in now.

Softest Jazz player I can think of besides AK.

Ultimately, last year we knew we couldn't afford Favors, Hood, and Exum.

Now, at the very worst we could easily afford Favors, Exum, and Crowder.

We also have some room to upgrade if needs be.

I kinda feel bad for Favors. The past few seasons he's been rumored in trades - no doubt that sucks. He's played better than last season - hasn't reached the expectations I once had for him but he's still been pretty good. He seems to be healthy this season and we know last year was injury-central for him.

I appreciate the guy and hopes he keeps playing well and that he keeps playing well with Rudy - I think it helps a lot (for Favors and Rudy) when opposing teams are starting to respect Rubio and actually guard him.

Crowder has been disappointing in Cleveland but this is still a great deal for Utah. Rodney is definitely better offensively, more versatile, but Crowder will fit in here nicely. He may even get to touch the ball from time to time. Watching Cleveland is pretty sad. Cleveland seriously upgraded their roster today, however.
