Hood traded to Cleveland for Crowder; Johnson to Sacramento

Terrible trade. How could anyone possibly think the Jazz won a trade when they get a player whose production is literally half of that of the player we're sending to Cleveland?

You don't want vet wings on your team who arent playing when they want to be playing.

I want to be as deep as possible, and if there's an issue you can trade for assets. Hood/Royce/Ingles/Thabo/Crowder with Thabo and Crowder able to play the 4 isn't too much.

Love the trade. I think Crowder will fit in very nicely and is on an extremely team-friendly contract. Plus, Hood wasn't coming back anyways. Opens up big minutes for Exum when he returns (who we will re-sign) and will also free up more minutes for Burks.

Plus, Hood seemed like kind of a wuss tbh.

No one leaves him open in Cleveland and dares him to shoot. That is the only thing that hurts spacing, like what players do to Rubio.
No, that isnt the only thing dude. Ingles is one of the best off the dribble 3 point shooters this year. Players cant go under the pick on Ingles. THey can on Crowder, he isnt an off the dribble shooter.

This trade is horrible: Why? Because there are not a lot of teams that can offer Rodney a max contract this summer and there's more free agents than money, so Utah could've low balled him into a 15-17 mil a year deal that's cost efficient for a 2nd/3rd option on offense. Crowder is in a slump and the value of Hood should equal the Nets first provided we take back a bad contract.
I obviously don't know if Rodney wanted out or if the team wanted to get rid of him for whatever reason. I'm just not psyched about the return.

Yeah, you know when trading thabo is most valuable? Before his guarantee date.

Uhh, no one is giving Hood a max. The Jazz are scared of the 17 million offer.
