HoopsHype.com Utah Jazz Season Preview (Yes, it is different from Archies)

I don't understand all the Korver love that gets tossed about in the media. He wasn't a starter and in fact, played relatively few minutes. The media talks about him as if he was a Hornacek type player for Utah. Don't get me wrong, I like Korver and he was a great shooter but Sloan severely underutilized him and he wasn't that large a piece of Utah's success. The Jazz go forward without giving Korver so much as a second thought.

I think this is just proof that the national media either (A) doesn't know the team well, or (B) doesn't want to know the team well.

I agree with this synopses. At this point of the season, I think this is exactly where the team stands without having seen them play a real game yet.

I don't think he was underutlized; he was simply a one-trick pony. Well, three, I guess: jumper off the curl, corner 3 and shooting late FT's. He had a career year in terms of shooting percentage, but the odds are he returns to around 44%/40% next season. Whatever Raja has left in his tank for 20 mins/per, I'd take over Kyle. I'll bet Hayward gives the Jazz 7/2/2 in 15-20 mins. Kyle won't be missed.

Starters might be off in this article, but 50 wins is a decent forecast. WE won't know until we can see how Big Al adjusts and if Raja can adequately replace Matthews.
