Hot Dynasty

Oh I agree. I hate my taste buds.
I also don't like basically any fruits or vegetables which really sucks cause they are good for you. I don't like strawberries, raspberries, bananas, preaches, pears, blueberries, oranges, broccoli, peas, cucumbers, squash, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, etc, etc

I do like carrots, corn, potatoes, celery, and watermelon. That's about it.

I eat way unhealthy. I wish I liked healthy food. (Somehow I'm still in pretty good shape.... 6 foot 3 and 205 lbs at 37 years old)

Only good thing is that I don't like sweets. I don't like cake, cookies, donuts, candy, etc

hmmmmm i said people have different taste, but you should try more things lol

I think you can change and train your taste buds to a certain degree.

Also, the way things taste is affected by what you already eat. Try changing your eating habits, like stop drinking your favorite soda for a few months, then try it again. It will taste weird to you.

Good idea.
Fwiw I don't drink soda either. Just water and milk (lots of milk.)

I force myself to eat a banana everyday on the drive home from work. I ****ing hate bananas but I still eat one every day just for the nutrients.

Do you like pizza? Or is that too Italian? lol. Is your wife more interested in food? How can anyone not like bananas? They're almost comfort food. Also, how can you like celery but not other vegetables? So many questions...

What is your stance on garlic and onions?

The vegetables you've listed basically rule out most of my all time favorite dishes.

You can't change what you like or don't at your age without, like, serious effort. I was a picky eater until I just decided not to be when I was around 19. But, I suppose that might be strange. However, I'm still pretty selective when it comes to fruit. there's not a lot of fruit that I can say that I really like, although I try to eat them as often as I can.

Anyways, I'm sorry your tastebuds suck. You like what you like. Vegetables are magical.

Of course I like pizza. That is "americanized" italian food.
Pizza in italy probably has bones in it or something lol (like my food from hit dynasty did..... also a burrito from an authentic Mexican place called la pa la pa had bones in it.... our maybe it was a beak or chicken claw.)

I didn't like seafood when I was in my early 20's and now I love crab, shrimp, and lobster. So at least that changed. But ya, I'm way too picky

Were y'all there at the same time....?
I don't know what race/ethnicity siro is but my wife and I were the only non-Asians in there

Yep, I was only non-Asian there as well. Also, the server did not know what "take out" meant. Fortunately, she did know the phrase "to go". But yeah, the place is as Chinese as they get. They even had Chinese programming playing on the TVs.

Ya we struggled to communicate with the waitress too.

I think I might have saw you as we leaving...... we saw a white man anyways lol

This made me think of a Jazzfanz channel. How badass would that be? A hour one show twice a week, people (us users) call in, we talk the Jazz. An hour would be easy as hell to fill. What would we need? Get an internet channel. Get a couple people to host from here. Not sure who. Maybe Peeks and Trout down in STG. Get one or two stats guys. Get someone who could get Jazz hook-ups for maybe a weekly 5-10 spot from someone from the Jazz. **** would be epic. The revenue it could bring to this site would be off the charts.

Gonna go get me some hot dynasty. Who wants to go on the same day but like 20 minutes apart like fish and siro?

Well, I'm Middle Eastern. I posted a picture in that JF photos thread a long time ago. I'm hard to miss. 6'4, a bit over 200 lbs, olive skin, 1930s gangster hairstyle...

Would've been cool to say hi had I known you were there.

When we go back we're definitely going for the hot pots. I'd say 90% of the tables (on a sunday afternoon) had hot pots.

I also have my lunches for the week with all the leftovers.

Found myself inside the Chinatown supermarket today hunting some Chinese New Year's presents, and hot damn there's hot dynasty inside it.

We tried the same as Gameface plus two extra dishes. The twice cooked pork was excellent, but hot damn they need to learn the difference between hot damn, damn hot, and holy gut burning spicy. My wife couldn't have more than a bite (she's a wimp), and I ate about a third of the large plate before giving in. It was ranked 1 pepper hot.

Two Choices in Chili Sauce with beef & frog (because why the hell not?) -- I wouldn't recommend the frog in a soup -- very small bones to pick out of that medium made for too much work, but the meat flavor was pleasant enough. It was deep and rich as promised, but there is such a thing as over spicing and this dish fell directly in that category. It was served piping hot too, which made it way too difficult to sip even after blowing for longer than should be necessary. There was a seed or root sprinkled on top that left my mouth with a weird sensation that I can only compare to cotton mouth. If it was a bite or two it would have been fine but after crunching several seeds in a row the after taste/sensation completely ruined the meal. I'd have to wait for leftovers to give a proper review if it weren't for every bite of the other 3 dishes living up completely to GF's advertisement.

BTW, for those who couldn't tell, that pic from gameface is a bowl the size of a grown man's forearm. It's huge, easily enough to feed 4. I took 3 quarts home and left some on the table.

Sizzling Beef Plate (?) -- basically peppered beef with red and green bell peppers in a sauce. Only had one bite and it was delicious.

Chicken in Dry Pot -- Pretty good, but again too spicy for the dish. It had some battered and fried broccoli that was tasty. I thought it was potato at first. Maybe there was potato too, I dunno.
