How bad/good is Cody Williams?

Do you ever think about how rough it’s gotta be for Cody? Seriously, he cannot escape that everyone knows he was absolutely dreadful last year. I think it’s gonna be a miracle just psychologically if he can climb out of that and perform.

He's human (see? I can be nice), I just won't make any assumptions as to how ”rough” his life is right now.

He got picked way too high because of his brother (not his fault), got a rookie deal he didn't deserve (not his fault), and proceeded to stink it up in every way imaginable (not his fault – I mean, he simply doesn't have NBA talent.)

The most disappointing thing is his complete lack of drive and passion. Cody is not in a position to coast – or shouldn’t be. The least he can do is try to play hard.
 
Here's an interesting shooting drill. He's not going to shoot this shot in real life. If he did, he'd get it blocked probably. They must be either trying to teach him to keep his balance, or teach him to build some rhythm. Either way, it doesn't look like he's done these types of much drills before. I don't think I've ever seen NBA player workouts with less intensity.

Agreed.
Hard to believe that is an NBA player. I watch that video and feel like I could be him in a game of 1 on 1 and I'm almost 50, out of shape and never play basketball.

I wish I had never seen that video lol

Yep. We might as well go down with the ship when it comes to Cody and his rookie contract since we really don't have anything to lose if he is just as bad next year. At that point he will have no trade value and it's not like we will be competing for anything.
