How do the Jazz get this thing back on track?

Read the post slowly

So you're saying that the year San Antonio tanked for Duncan it worked out because they were clearly the worst team? Things wouldn't have played out differently if they hadn't sat Robinson and others? ... or should we learn a lesson from watching San Antonio make every move with their eye on an eventual championship yet again. That's the way I would like the Jazz to be run.

I did not argue for or against the tank. I pointed out that where we are is not at all unexpected.

Here's what you said.

So for some reason since you expected them to be a middle-of-the-road team and end up with a middle-of-the-road pick those of us who believed that Lindsey was going to do everything possible to get us the worst record should not be disappointing to learn otherwise?

This is some bull ****. KevOak need ta come in and strangle this Lindsey *******. Only the Jazz could rescue mediocrity from the jaws of worst record victory.

This is like a complete inverse of the '07-'08 team where the Jazz let every ****ing bad team in the world beat them on the road when the Jazz needed to win.

Unless the Jazz get a lot of luck, wins against Orlando and Charlotte on the road are going to haunt this franchise.

But for those of you not worried about the state of this tanking debacle and think the Jazz are somehow guaranteed a top-3 pick, .500 ball for the rest of the season is going to assure the Jazz a pick somewhere after 10 so that's great if you're okay with a wasted opportunity. Maybe we need to just hope that the Jazz can win a championship with a somewhat diminutive, not terribly athletic PG carrying the team on his back (with no apparent other star power) for the next 10+ years.

I hope you all enjoy the lottery. If we don't make a move soon we will be picking 10-14 for years to come with the occasional 18-21 pick afforded the eighth seed in the west.

Honest to dog, this is not a dig on Trey. But, this could very well be the worst-case scenario.

It is okay if you to believe what you want and to be disappointed if what you believe turns out to untrue.

I'm just pointing out that some folks were wrong to believe this and it was probably because they got infatuated with the idea of taking Jabari to the prom.

DL is focusing on long-term: building assets for becoming a sustainable title contender starting in a few years. We'll should get one or two nice assets from this draft, it would be great if we landed a 1-3 pick, but this has never been assured or promised.

Is it likely that DL will make moves this year to further improve our future at short-term sacrifice (moving Marvin for a pick).

Maybe all 7 eastern teams and Kings are behind us, at worst. That would be the 9th pick. I *would* be OK with that, and don't consider it a wasted opportunity.

9th pick <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< picks 1-4
