What's new

How do you get away with it?

I just stop in the middle of my lecture and post on my I phone...

All my students are already texting and jit like that anyways!!.

I think the big job coup in the 21st century is to escape being behind a computer all day and still make a decent wage. I really don't think the office life is ideal in any way, no matter where that office is or how much you are pulling in.

Yep I would tend to agree with this.

The exception would be if you really love what you're doing and/or you're making a difference in the world somehow.. that would motivate me to go back to an "office". :)

A reason other than money is what I'm saying.

Whether you post here a lot or a little..

how do you justify?

OR, better said, how do you HIDE your time?

When the boss walks by..

When the wife walks by....

For me: I don't have to worry about work, but wife.. yikes..

I have email up and a couple excel spreadsheets.. I shrink JF as she walks by .. but enough about me....... wuddya do?

Take a look at your post count. Then take a look at the counts of all of the rest of us. Then ask yourself if it's really likely we have as much of an issue with this as you do.

This is me. I love what I do - I would love it even if I still sat in the same office for 9 hours straight every day. But I don't. I get to be creative and, as long as my work gets done, I can pretty much come and go as I please. I'm never going to get rich doing it, but my employment happiness quotient has never been higher.

hmmm, I spend 14 hrs a day on JF with post count 8,000. Colton has over 4,000.

Then again, he's 100x smarter so probably takes like 10 seconds to post what would take me 30 minutes.
