How does everyone feel about Trey Burke's chances for ROY?

I'd have McLemore in SacTown taking it with MCW close behind. Burke missing the first 6 or so weeks won't help

Send Burke down to play that Orlando D-League team and he'll rack up more than a triple double too.
 
Since Trey had a good game he will obviously win the ROY hands down.

As soon as he has a bad game we will obviously need to trade him immediately so we don't lose value and trade him for freaking nothing when he flames out.

But if he has another good game, right after the last good game he will obviously be MVP this year, including finals MVP.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

He missed 3 weeks. If he ends up playing every remaining game this season (70 total), those missed games shouldn't make any difference.
 
I understand that the ROY award is somewhat of a popularity contest. The good thing for Trey is that he already is "popular". Media folks and fans know him pretty well from his impressive college career and they all know of his reputation as a clutch player, especially at the NCAA tournament. It's not like he went to Middle Tennessee State and he's coming out of nowhere trying to make a name for himself.

If he can average close to 17-18ppg/6 asts I think he'll have a very good shot at ROY.
 
Just wanted to post this. They need to check what MCW is smoking! Cause how does a guy who struggled to shoot in college just become an amazing player and finisher. It's pretty crazy.

MCW was a big time play maker, athlete, and finisher at Syracuse. His problem was his jump shooting and decision making. Those still appear to be an issue for him. Team will adjust to how he plays and just dare him to shoot the ball.
 
He'll be the top candidate out of the Western Conference, methinks.

It will come down to him and MCW, but I think MCW is going to get more total minutes and more of the spotlight.
