What's new

How has Obama improved your life in the last 4 years?

The government bought Chrysler and GM.
Some fake pics were posted of Osama, and as by islamic law (is not islamic law), was secretly buried at sea with no evidence of capture.

LOL what?

Is spouting a lot of rhetoric about helping students, passed a healthcare bill that is unconstitutional and does nothing to help anyone.

I am sorry about diabetes running in your family, but manditory healthcare doesn't help you any more than the way healthcare has always been run.

Rock on though.

As a recipient of a generous amount of healthcare for nearly my entire life, I think its safe to say that it most certainly helps much more

LOL what? What?

I think it's safe to say it's all rhetoric, and obviously unconstitutional.

Obamacare will be repealed.

I won't go as far to say Bin Laden's death has made my life better - but as someone who was an eyewitness to the events of 9/11 and lost people that I know personally, I can say that it really, really, really bothered me that the person who was mainly responsible went unpunished for all those years.

Otherwise, my life has improved under Clinton, Bush and Obama - 99% of the credit for that goes to myself and my family.

The roads I drive to work on were repaired with funds from the stimulus. I like not avoiding potholes.

With the extra money in Medicaid, we'll see fewer people on the hospital side of the fence and more on the health center side of the fence. With less money in Medicare, we'll see more patients on both sides, since we're more efficient than most hospital/health centers.

There's that whole "avoiding a depression" thing.

I don't look to government elect to improve my life. I look for them to maintain an atmosphere where I can do so myself. In that regard, Obama saved the world from failure with his spending policies. His leadership, or, more correctly, insight out of the Union's collective, has saved us all from disaster. My critique of Obama comes from a difference of perspective though.

This quote is the winner.

I don't know if the OP is a dem or republican, but I am going to guess he is republican.

I find it funny and ironic that the OP and 99% of the republican base are always preaching less government and independence but they are always complaining about what Obama hasn't done for them

By blowing up multiple wedding parties and killing small children in far away lands Obama has kept me safe. By selling guns to drug cartels in Mexico Obama has kept me safe. By increasing spending and troops counts in Afaganistan,Obama has kept me safe. By starting secret wars in Syria and Libya Obama has kept me safe. By supporting the TSA's ability to grope young children Obama has kept me safe. By destabalizing the muslim world and undermining Chinas legitimate business intrests there Obama has kept me safe. By selectivley choosing firms to 'bailout' based on the firms political leanings or the state it operates in Obama has kept me safe. By entrenching himself deeper into the dogma of Bush Obama has kept me safe. By driving the wedge of 'us' versus 'them' and 'my way or no way' further into the heart of the US Obama has kept me safe. By continuing the practise of the past 12 presidents of inflating the money supply and devaluing savings Obama has kept me safe. By increasing enviromental regulations and unfunded mandates to local govenrment Obama has kept me safe.

I don't post in general discussion threads often, but when I do I like to point out that Obama has kept me safe.

Hopefully Obama can keep on keeping you safe. Or if Romney wins hopefully he can do as good of a job as Obama. Your safety is important.

This right here is the winning quote of this thread.

Since I can't name one thing any President has done to improve my life this seems like a pointless question.

These. I'm trying to think of one thing that W did that directly improved my life. Or Clinton. Or Old Bush. Or Reagan. If you're sitting around waiting for a president to do something to directly benefit you, go get a ****ing job and do something with your life.

Bernanke lowered my interest rate & will save me thousands per year for the rest of my life. He also stole all of Mellow's dollar bills & gave them to me for my treasury bills. That was pretty badass. I think he should run for president.

I find it funny that people cry about paying for roads. Then cry about the roads having potholes. Then cry about all the construction.

Yeah, it all reminds me of this Simpsons clip:

People are idiots for the most part.
