The only way we get him back before the 5 years is up is to trade for him. Then we are stuck with his contract. If we wanted that we would have just matched his offer sheet. So in other words NO.

Right, but the fact is we can trade for him. That's nice considering 9 of the 35 mil was a sign bonus. The Jazz could trade for him in a few years and not have to pay the ridiculous bonus, right?

we will have cap room next season. If this does not work for Portland they could look to dump him, maybe for a second round pick? I know we have a ton of wings now, but rosters can change very quick as we found out this season. He would only be on the books for what 4 yrs 23Mil? Probably talk out of my ***.

I now expect Portland to trade Roy for CP3 to open up a spot for him. Just like last season the Blazers would have traded Aldridge if Utah hadn't matched for Millsap.

One of two things is going to happen now.
A) Portland stops screwing with us.
b) Allen is even more irate and comes at Utah hard.

Don't worry about option b). I hear the Jazz bought a butt load of these this summer.
