Hypothetical Trade???

I don't know where this is coming from, probably a bad idea, and I'm not for or against it. I just think it's interesting to discuss.

So would you trade Gobert for Irving?

Lebron and the Cavs seem to be having some chemistry troubles and they really need a center that can provide rim protection. Gobert is one of the best and they would love him.

Irving would give us a PG, that is young, and has been an all-star.
Only concerning things would be his injury history and that he hasn't really proven anything (to me at least).

I think it's an interesting discussion, probably not possible.

Two things...

1. Why would we trade the anchor of our defense for a pg, when we have Exum. We aren't trading for a pg.

2. Why in the hell do we want a pg that would be like putting a square peg in a round hole as far as this offense is concerned. No thanks

This seems like a trash NY move.

Gobert for Irving would be a dream come true. Then offer Whiteside the max. He's more impactful on both ends of the court.

Irving
Hood
Hay
Favors
Whiteside
Fill bench with three point threats and hustle junkies
Championship

The Cavs would laugh at you for years if you even tried..
Better trade for Cavs is to call Clippers and trade Irving for Paul

Again Jazz fans over valuing players. Try trading Gobert for Mozgav because that is Goberts value. Stop over valuing your players it is comical. Since you are in dream scenario why not just keep Gobert and TRade Hayward for Lebron. That is about how silly this thread is... Irving is an all star, Even though I don't like his game much facts remains he is... Gobert is a starter but one that has seen his minutes decrease since last season. Things are a whole lot different when teams have a year worth of tapes on you. Will the silly trade ideas by Jazz fans ever stop? While you are at it why not trade Hood for Durant also.. That is how silly some of your ideas are.

Warriors and Spurs both are better squads

1. It true. I think we could use Irving's offense and his "star" power. Exum is definitely a reason why this trade wouldn't go through.

2. PG play is a bit better now with Mack and Neto, but it's still a lackluster position for the jazz.

My main point is u don't trade Gobert for a pg till you're sure Exum isn't going to be a star. It would really suck *** if u got rid of an elite rim protector only to see Exum become a premier pg. I think we can get a better pg for Gobert. To me Irving is just a much more offensive version of Trey Burk. He's the kind of star that doesn't really elevate a team as far as wins go.
