What's new

I love the Nightlife

I've never been. No desire. Not sure why it's much of an attraction. I'd much rather a walk in the mountains.

I'm pretty sure a temple square tour was apart of the Joe Johnson recruiting pitch. Probably sealed the deal.
Once he saw the Temple Square Bikram Yoga Center, he didn't need to see any more and signed the paperwork.

Agreed
Someone named Joe Jesus would probably be interested in seeing the local religious establishments

Funny that salt lake is utah. To be honest what i would list about what to see in utah would be the national parks. This time of year the natural trails all over salt lake are breath takingly beautiful. Temple square with all the flowers is pretty darn amazing too.

IF some one doesnt want to be here because they cant go to bars all the time then I dont want them here either. Next time my work sends me some where with a boring night life maybe i should complain or wait i wouldnt have a job.

I'll be out of town, but wish I could bring this sign to the game:

"Mrs. Barnes loved the nightlife when D-Fish played here."

I like the Temple grounds. They are very well put together. Tons of sites in Europe are old churches. My guess is the top site to visit in Barcelona is La Sagrada Familia, which is either the most magnificent thing I've ever seen on the most garish.

Why can't someone in Utah go to bars all the time? I mean, we have a last call at 1am and bars close at 2am, but that is not uncommon anywhere.

This is a typical LDS response, IMO. The idea that if someone wants to go out at night, go to clubs, be in a social/party atmosphere, all they really want to do is get as drunk as they can. It's embarrassing that people would have suck an arrogant and prideful response to someone wanting to have something to do at night by saying that if that's the case we don't want them here anyway.

Like, you get that Draymond Green doesn't want to come here either? That is the essence of what he said. He'd rather be in LA where adulthood is legal and not looked down upon. Not like he's skipping the road trip to SLC, he's just saying it's too bad he's not going somewhere with more to do.

The saddest part for me is that us Utah non-LDS folks haven't done our job in letting people on the outside know that there is a thing or two to do here at night. It's no LA, but it's not as bad as even our local LDS populace thinks it is.

So stick it in your ear. You must think you've beaten us, but you haven't. Us local non-LDS folks have managed to provide ourselves with adult after-hours activities despite the ******** and ignorance.

I've been lots of times, drunk, stoned, frying balls, shroomin. It's a good time if you're with the right crowd. On Mushrooms it kinda reminds me of the boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Not sure why?

Lol
Frying balls
Lol

I saw something on either ksl or fox where it was like "10 things to do while in utah...". The first ****ing thing on the list was visit the temple, this is the type of **** players laugh at.

To be fair, if KSL was listing the top things to do in Oakland, it would probably put visit the temple at the top of that list as well.
