What's new

I love the Nightlife

The Mormon Temple is one of the top attractions in Utah. It is a major historical landmark and temple square is home to a religion of 15 million people. It is going to be on any list of things to see in Utah just as the Christ the Redeemer Statue is going to be on the list of things to do in Rio de Janeiro.

As far as the nightlife, it is better in other places, but it is pretty good in Utah. There are plenty of bars in Utah and a few great clubs. People who think it is hard to get a drink in Utah or that it is hard here are as ridiculous as someone who thinks a major historical landmark shouldn't be listed on a "what to visit in Utah" list.

Providing the voice of sanity.

I saw a story about all the special cocktails available in Salt Lake. It was tweeted out by some tourist organization from Salt Lake and said something like "we aren't really a night club scene, we're more a get to know you over a craft cocktail scene"

I thought that was clever.

On the Temple Square note, it's not about religion, it's about architecture and history. You don't go to New York, Chicago, Boston, etc and not see architectural and historical sites. Why miss out on a cool piece of history here in Salt Lake?
