What's new

I miss...

I miss my old girlfriends mom's cooking. I had the most awful Thanksgiving meal this past week. I'd probably not even consider marrying this girl just based on the fact that we would have to eat her mom's cooking multiple times a year. I don't even know how you cats that went on missions put up with whatever slop was put in front of you for two years.

How are people bad cooks? I really don't understand it. Anybody can cook fine meals if they look up a recipe and have the common sense to follow the instructions.

I miss...

NBA on NBC
A young body (not feeling tired/sick all the time)
Having friends who didn't have kids
Being able to play the piano well
The days when people didn't have a phone in front of their face every second of every day

funny thing is, the kids grow up and then you'll have friends who don't have kids anymore - - of course then your body will be even older and more tired and broken-down....

I miss the Jazz Forecaster game, I actually signed on now just to be sure to get my prediction recorded...

(and not just the body goes, but the mind as well....)

I miss
caring
real Christmas trees
being able to leave my house or car unlocked
TV shows not reality, or about Lawyers, Police, or Government agents

I miss the idea that it was kind of a status symbol to have a separate "child's phone" listing under the family's name in the phone book

I miss the days when folks would use the big old phone book as a booster seat!
