He signed that offer after averaging 18,3, and 2 with little ability to shoot from outside of 18 feet. So at the time he signed the deal it was considered an over pay. He really improved after he signed that deal and Hayward could easily do the same

Well this is new and exciting news. Anyone else know any of this? Are you currently a GM of a team? I mean how else would you know all this stuff?

That's the spirt Bodhi! The point was at the time Derozens stats didn't justify the contract he was given. He proved the Raps right in giving him that contract and I don't see why Gordon couldn't do the same under different conditions. Obviously there are teams out there that thing he can if the are going to pony up that kind of cash

The anti Hayward stuff is really harshing my buzz, man. I'm actually worried that if we pay him more than 12 he'll get booed like he set out to screw the team or something. People need to get a grip.
 
Who is maxing Hayward? I haven't checked twatter since like 7 tonight, and the latest news was the same : he went to ClLE, but CLE didn't extend an offer to him because they were fearful that we'd match and it would just clog up their cap while we took the full allotted time just to screw them over for trying to take our guy.

People are believing we are matching anything, because we most likely are. So yes, people can window shop, but who is actually ready to make that irrational purchase?

Hayward will get paid, big money by us, but I still doubt it's max.

I think that is a valid concern. If Hayward is paid over 12 million a year and does not produce like a superstar he will be booed. He shouldn't be, but he will be. Management should be booed for paying that much.

Nobody hates Hayward. Fans hate overpaying players because they believe it prevents them from getting better players that could actually help them win games. Don't know if it true, but its fan nature.

At the end of a possession, when running the offense gets you nothing (a lot of possessions end this way for a lot of teams), DeRozan can create a decent shot. Gordo can't. It's that simple.

Derozan could be good. VERY good. I really like his improvement year over year.

Then if you add in 1.4st, 0.5blks there's only one guy in the NBA they did that Gordon Hayward. I don't care what any of you say if that was easy to do 35 or 40 guys would be doing it every year. If he goes back to his career average percentages he'll score over 20 a game. In a better system with better coaching you can expect everything else to go up as well. I don't even begin to see the selfish player you're talking about but I do agree with you that he plays soft when people poke him in the ear and he pouts way too much. If he can find his balls and man up and play with a little more excitement dude is legit.

If Hayward is back to his old % numbers, it's because he's not shooting as much and I see him getting 14-16 points a game add in 5 rebounds and 5-7 assists with 1.5 stills and solid defense. I can see him making an Allstar game or two. Hayward isn't a 20 point a game scorer. If he was he'd be a top offensive option. That he isn't, but he doesn't need to be.
