I Was At Last Night's Knicks/Jazz Game

And Derek Fisher? Guy is a stooge.
Hmmm, a stooge? The guy has FIVE championship rings. You can take every single guy on the Jazz, add up all the championship rings they have, and Derek Fisher will laugh at the negative number that comes up.

Face it, we have a coach with five championships, we have a team president with THIRTEEN championships! When you show me a guy on your team who can even spell championship, then us Knick fans will maybe listen to what a Jazz fan has to say.

Clyde Frazier, talking about Utah's Rudy Gobert: "You know who he reminds me of? A young Wilt Chamberlain."

What does OP have to say about this?
I watched a replay of the game. I didn't hear that. But I'll take your word for it.

It's really simple. Clyde said Gobert reminds him of Wilt Chamberlain because Gobert, like Wilt, is a terrible free throw shooter. Andre Drummond laughs at Gobert when Rudy is on the line.

Lol
Byron Scott has championships. Must be why the Lakers are one of the best teams in the league right now

He said it last year. Now that the Knicks have a decent young big you won't hear him say it again though.

You're wrong. Clyde is a true blue Knick, but he also is a basketball man. His commentary is full of praise for any good player on the court no matter what uniform he's in. I watched a replay of Knicks/Jazz and Clyde had some great things to say about a number of Jazz players.

As for Gobert, Clyde talked more about his father during the broadcast. Rudy's dad played college ball at Marist which is in New York and is where our play-by-play announcer Mike Breen started his broadcasting career. Nothing but high praise for Gobert's dad. It was all a nice indirect compliment for Rudy. (They also did have fun with a habit of Gobert's. They noted that Gobert eats a dinner in the media room before every game. Some good free food and Rudy takes advantage of it.)

See, our broadcasters aren't homers. Clyde and Breen know ball and want their viewers to learn more. Good player, coach on the other team, Clyde and Breen note it. On the contrary, tune in to a Celtic broadcast and you get Tommy Heinsohn telling us that every player on the other team sucks. The Celtics could be playing the '92 Dream Team and Heinsohn will tell his audience every guy on that Dream Team is overrated and sucks (except Bird, of course).

Melo played with Denver? No one cares about that. It's like Babe Ruth played for the Red Sox?

Melo is a Jazz killer. Last night, the easiest 30 points I have ever seen. I got to my seat, game started, I went to get a hot dog, sat back down and Melo already had 30. He would have put up 70 against the Jazz last night if I was hungrier.

I like this guy...he's a funny guy. (said in El Guapo's voice)

Idk why he wastes his time talking **** on jazz forum lol
Because I went to the Knicks / Jazz game Wednesday night. Read my first post -- it was my impressions of your team. If the Knicks played the Heat Wednesday night, I'd be on a Heat site sharing my insight.

And tonight the Jazz are still in my town so I am still here.

Melo is a punk bitch.

It has always been so.
Boy, you don't know Melo.

What you said is as dumb as someone writing:

"Gordon Hayward is a punk *** gangsta thug.
It has always been so."

Melo is exactly what his name says he is: mellow.
The guy is a laid back, easy going, decent guy. He's also an assassin on the b-ball court. That combo -- off the court gentle man, on the court demon -- is rare in sports these days.

Yes, I was there at the Garden last night for a classic b-ball game. Overtime....Knicks WIN!!!!

Not here to gloat, just to give my impressions of your team:

-- much hate in the Garden for Hayward. Every time Hayward touched the ball a guy
in the upper level seats shouted "F*** You, Hayward!". Every time. Loud as hell. Wonder if it could be heard on your TV. "F*** You, Heyward!" There was also a "Hayward's A Virgin" chant along with your typical "Hayward Sucks" shouts. OJ Simpson could come to the Garden and wouldn't get ragged on the way Hayward was. Heyward really got abused by the Garden last night.

-- glad you Jazz fans got a look at Porzingis. The supposed "another Euro-bust" is anything but, right?

-- Gobert is a top, top player. Sitting in the arena last night I sure got a feel from the Garden fans that Gobert gained our respect.

-- Heyward actually played some good D against Melo, but Melo being Melo put up another "he's got 30?" and torched your team. He killed you and there was nothing you could do to stop him. The guy can score 30 in the blink of an eye.

-- we knew that Hood could play ball, but didn't know he could play that well. Great to see a guy have a breakout game and do it on the grand stage of the Garden. That's a career defining game for that young man. Three years ago Curry put up 54 at the Garden and that got his ball rolling. Not saying your man Hood is going to be another Steph, but to put up 29 at your first appearance at the Garden...man, you Jazz fans should be happy. That guy was giving us fits last night. We cursed him.

-- have to admit, Heyward hitting three free throws with 2 seconds left in regulation to send the game to OT in an arena that was loudly savaging him...classic Garden moment. Abused for 48 minutes and what does he do? Shuts us all up. Ice water in the veins. Clutch player. Great player. We were stunned that he made all three. We were also very impressed. Respect.

-- went to the game with a nephew who was wearing a Heyward shirt and surprisingly there were other Jazz fans at the game. Right behind us were two Jazz fans, on train ride home a Jazz fan...kind of surprised to see that of the 19,000 at the Garden there were some Utah fans. Good show. Support your team thousand miles away in very hostile territory.

Once again, not here to gloat, but, man, we needed that game (so did you) and we dug down deep and took it from you. But you came away looking pretty formidable. Heyward, Gobert, Hood....great players. But you still need a Melo and a Porzingis and then you got something. Until then....we kill you every time.

Great game, great show, glad I was there.
Hi gay... I mean... Guy.
