What's new

Ian Clark Waived.

Rudy gonna be pissed.

Is there any benefit to doing this? They still have to pay him. Do they want a roster spot or just giving him a chance to be picked up by some team?

He doesn't have a contract for next year. I suspect we signed Johnson to a multi-year deal non-guaranteed deal so we can use him as a trading chip in the summer.

I feel bad for him, but he's a supposed shooter who has never actually made shots for us.

The only decent shooters we had were Korver & Matthews (and we let them both go).

We've had a string of supposed shooters that didn't pan out: Mo Williams, Ian Clark, Randy Foye ....

Ironic being for the first and last time in my life on Monday I was thinking to myself "man, maybe Quin should put Clark in".

And it wasn't his lack of shooting that did him in - jeez, take a look at Millsap on any give night. Guy couldn't defend to save his life. He probably had the slowest feet/lateral movement of any guard in the league.

Foye shot 41% from 3 his year in Utah.

This. Foye has to be the most underrated player to ever play in Utah. If we had a 27 year old Foye on the bench we would be so golden. . .

Yep, he was knocking those threes left and right. Also, I sense that he was a good mentor presence in the locker room, it just wasn't the right time for him to stay.

Foye was a good shooter.

Matthews was probably the worst shooter that you listed, as far as when those dudes played for the Jazz.

Please spare me his FG% and 3FG%. I don't care.

I wonder if Hayward is hurt worse than they let on. Johnson has appeared in 10 NBA games this year 8 with the Bucks and 2 with the Jazz. Man are we going to be good in Summer League.
