If Jimmer were in this draft, where would he be picked?

Where would Jimmer be drafted this year?

I don't get the 99 problem reference. Guess I'm naive.
And actually, there were a lot of very attractive women where I worked. Unfortunately, when I was single I was always a "friend" and never boyfriend material. Or maybe that was a good thing. At the time, frustrating, but worked out for the best in hindsight.

The reference was to the Jay-Z song.... "99 problems" but a bitch ain't one.

Is Jimmer as good or better than Gary Neal? I think so. On the right team he has a spot in the league. He should been drafted in the late 1st or early 2nd.

My apologies. I was surprised by the number of posters dropping him way below where he was taken in his draft class, in a much weaker draft. But I now see you didn't vote; so the label doesn't fit. Honestly, with the Tebow-like hype he had and the raw numbers he put up, I'd be surprised to see him NOT go in the top-5. Most of the guys in this draft have huge ?'s about their offense, or ability to play PG in the NBA, etc. Jimmer - at least coming out of college - was a premier scorer.

I voted this morning, and I voted him lower than 2010. The reason? I think that most NBA teams correctly evaluated him, I believe the Kings got Jimmered. They were more excited about the publicity and the hype, and thought they could gloss over the player. If they had really loved him they would have taken him #7 that year. They didn't. And I don't think they would take him at 7 this year. Nobody is taking Jimmer ahead of 7 this year. And the teams from 8 down to the Jazz at 14 don't need a pg but would have CJ, Jimmer, MCW, Larkin and Schroeder to choose from.

And Jimmer would be compared to other shooting pgs like CJ, Wolters, and Isaiah Cainan. I think the direct comparison would lessen the scouts impression of Jimmers college brilliance.

I guess the arguement could be made that since so many teams are setting up for a tank, including a certain local team, that one of the teams could grab Jimmer in hopes of selling a few season tickets (like Sacramento tried to do) and Atlanta with 2-picks and forever poor fan support seems like the likely canidate.

That's how it always is with women, until you're off the market. Then you need a bat to keep em away. Kinda like the jazz will have to do with Jimmers agent.

Wow, this started as a weak thread, and then Moses lead it into the wilderness where it wandered for 40 posts. (By the way, the answer is sometime between 1:00 pm and 1:05 pm, depending upon the availability of a passing zone.)

Hahaha.. this made me laugh. Rep'd.

Leaving college right now, with his stats from college and the same NCAA tourney under his belt, AND with the draft class of this year....easily top 4, no doubt about it. Obviously most cant see past how he has failed so far in the NBA, even though this was part of the poll. Haters gotta hate.

I remember so many predictions about how Jimmer would fare in the NBA that were pretty much spot on. I don't think Jimmer's failures are a surprise to as many people as you think. On this very board I remember many calls for sanity in regard to Jimmer that mostly went ignored.

On a very similar note, let's also discuss where Jim Les would have been drafted if he were available in this year's draft. Intriguing discussions...

And 33 votes. I'm surprised.

Well to be fair I don't think Jimmer got into an ideal situation at Sactown neither.

Name me 1 player who got drafted by Sactown over the past 10 years that ended up being a successful NBA player.

Exactly.

That's why guys like Steph Curry did a very smart thing when he refused to workout for Minny - sending them a clear message that he doesn't want to be drafted by them.
