Harris having himself a game today

I voted Kemba. He is a legit stud weapon who can take over games, dribble, create, penetrate and shoot. We need that. Not having that at the 1 means we don’t have a stud there and have I’m not sure what? After the studs, there are only a couple point guards who can be strong role playing types. Beverley and Satoransky.

On the other hand, there are many starting role player types at the 4 who can 3 and d. We’d just have to get one.

D'Angelo Russell is the obvious answer. there's not even a remotely close 2nd. How could you look at Mitchell's strengths AND WEAKNESSES, and not conclude 23 year old D'Lo is the guy...

He is completely and utterly unobtainable though. So i'm gonna omit him and then choose from the rest of the list;

Kemba Walker.

You don't want a pg who can at least threaten the rim?

Player usage needs to be considered, and I think Brogdon fits this team better than a Kemba or Russell.
Don't necessarily agree as I think guys like Kemba and to a lesser degree Russell are forced to be high usage because literally no one else on their teams can create (Russell only because Dimwiddie/LeVert have both missed significant time). I think Kemba would be more than happy to lower his usage rate, particular if it helps extend his career, if it means he gets to play on a contending team.

I also like the Kemba fit because once he starts to enter his early 30s and will probably start declining that's when Mitchell is at his peak, so if Kemba comes in and is the better #1 option in his first year or two by the time it's year 3 or 4 Mitchell will be in his prime and you can swap their roles pretty easily if need be. And Kemba can teach Mitchell a ton about using craftiness to get to the rim more consistently as well as some finer points about play making considering he's had to carry garbage rosters year in and year out with varying levels of success for a while now.

Just don't think you pass up a guy like Kemba who is clearly (imo) the most talented guy on the poll just because you think the theoretical fit of Brogdan would be better. I'd rather get the talent and figure it out afterwards.

Ya I think he would be nearly perfect. Elite shooter (51%, 43%, 93%) good defender, 26 years old, 20 points per game per 36 (16 points per game on his 29 minutes per game)

I think simply having an elite shooter at point guard, rather than Rubio, would unlock the offense big time. Wouldn't hurt the defense at all (might improve it), good size to be able to guard 1's and 2's, wouldn't require the ball in his hands (allowing Donovan to continue to grow in his ball dominant role) but able to do some creating and ball handling if needed.

Probably a bit cheaper than many on the list. Probably more gettable since the bucks have a bunch of guys they need to pay and they just paid bledsoe.

Brogdon is my guy

i really have come around on favors, id like to keep him. id only sacrifice him for walker and maybe harris. i'd rather
scoring come from 1-3. middleton would be #3 on this list for me. i'm not sure brogdon or the others would be
worth the contracts.

Ingles needs to move to the bench to be the 6th man, and PG or SG needs a drastic upgrade. favors and crowder
would be enough at 4/backup 5. I'd like an Udoh upgrade and an heir apparent to Korver.

This is a pretty good list. Kemba should be acquirable and is exactly what we need at the point. If we can somehow retain favors as backup C, bring in a couple of shooting specialists on lighter contacts and pick up kemba our entire Outlook changes immediately.

Damn, you couldn't be more clueless about what your team can actually do this summer under NBA's salary rules. I suspect that's an actual xray image of your head in your profile.

Of all the guys on the list I think Bogdonovic might be the most realistic/attainable. He's turned into a pretty damn good player, he really carried the Pacers this year once Oladipo went down. He would be a really good second option on offense for us.

oh lookie, there are actually sane people around these parts still. Who knew
