and yet you didn't go down with the ship...
So I know we already kind of know this...but they have taken shots at each other so it seems like they are walking a fine line publicly where Bill doesn't want to tick off his wife too much...but it's beyond plainly obviously Bill Clinton is Donald Trump's good friend. Like....he was probably coaching Trump on how to best his wife along the way.....good friends. Just like I was speculating way back when this all started when you guys were speculating that Trump was only running on behalf of the Clintons to insure Hillary won. You see that look in old Billy Goat's eyes when Trump was up there? Dude was sparkling knowing the deed was done. His buddy pulled off the long shot win and is in office. Hillary looked like the bitter woman I imagine she is. It's clear the Obama's don't like Trump. Bill's in love though.
The ultra-nationalism of Trump revealed in one line of his inauguration speech:
“At the bedrock of our politics,” he said, “will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.”
This is the language of loyalty oaths. Expect Trump to target individuals and groups as anti-American. Loyalty to Trump will be equated with loyalty to country. Disloyalty to Trump will become disloyalty to the nation. His followers will agree. They will not recognize it as the actions of a dictator or leader of a personality cult. In his mind, his destiny and America's destiny are indistinguishable, and he will crack under the weight of not getting his way every time.
His inauguration speech, in which he talked only to his followers, revealed for anyone to see, that he is leading a personality cult, not a nation.
ASHINGTON, D.C — More than 200 people have been arrested as of Friday evening in connection with protests that erupted during the inauguration of President Donald Trump, according to a spokesman for the District of Columbia’s Metropolitan Police Department. The demonstrations included acts of vandalism and clashes with police officers, who used flash-bang grenades and pepper spray against the protesters.
Yahoo News was present for a particularly intense clash between police and hundreds of demonstrators that took place in the vicinity of K Street and 14th Street Northwest at about 5 p.m. Demonstrators lit multiple fires in the area and set ablaze a limousine. Police officers in riot gear moved in on the scene and pushed the protesters back using pepper spray and flash-bang grenades. Some of the demonstrators, many of whom wore masks and helmets, retaliated by throwing bottles and bricks.
A man who said his name was Hassan remained in the street facing the line of officers after being sprayed in the face.
“They’ll have to bodily kick me out against every fiber of my being,” Hassan said as he grimaced in pain and a mixture of pepper spray and tears flowed down his cheeks.
Hassan later told Yahoo News the experience felt like being “tattooed on the face.” He also shared his reasons for wanting to be part of the protests against Trump. Hassan said he wanted to be in the street “standing and being representative of the fact that there is absolute disagreement with what is going on in this country right now.” He further explained that he believes Trump is a threat to minorities and LGBT people.
“The vast majority of minorities in this country have a whole lot to worry about,” Hassan said.
The area calmed down by evening, though police and protesters remained in the street.
There may be some truth to this. I'm not sure Bill was terribly excited to be called "First Man" or "First Husband" or whatever.
It's a joke. But you are right - I didn't make that clear.I can't get over that. Bill threw the election to Trump bc he didn't wanna be called the First Man. That type of logic is expected from Dutchie...y'all are overreacting just a touch.
It's a joke. But you are right - I didn't make that clear.

I don't remember agreeing with conspiracy theories in the past. But I have a poor memory . . .When you take it with the rest of your posts here, I have serious doubts it was just a joke. No offense.

First time in my lifetime I have ever seen anything like this at an inauguration. From extensive research (a few google searches), it looks nearly unprecedented in American history. Crazy.
